Disturbing new information has emerged regarding Vice President Kamala Harris’s ties to a controversial California Democrat.
As we enter the days in the run-up to Election Day, Harris, the Democrat presidential nominee has a growing number of PR fires to put out.
New controversies continue to emerge as she attempts to convince Americans to vote her into the White House.
According to the Daily Caller, the latest nightmare for Harris and her campaign is her “close” association with a California Democrat who has campaigned to protect pedophiles.
The Democrat, former California State Senator Mark Leno, “tried to make child pornography possession a non-felony in California,” according to the outlet.
Harris has gone on record calling Leno a “dear friend”
Former Republican House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) said Leno “authored a piece of legislation that would have allowed pedophiles to possess up to 99 items depicting child pornography before they could be charged with a felony,” the Caller reported.
McCarthy was serving as the California Assembly Republican leader at the time Leno was pushing the legislation.
The legislation (AB 50) was already bad enough, but there were even more disturbing loopholes.
One of the loopholes meant that a single compact disc (CD), which could contain thousands of those types of images, would only count as one of the 99 allowed “items.”
Leno’s legislation would allow pedophiles to possess hundreds of thousands of horrific images of child sexual abuse and escape felony charges.
The legislation was heavily criticized by Republicans.
It even received pushback from top Democrats.
However, the bill received wide support from Assembly Democrats.

In 2006, California Democrat Pat Caddell told the Los Angeles Daily News:
“What the Democrats did on AB 50 was insane, insane – 100 exemptions for child porn?
“They had to figure out this was not good?
“If this seeps into voters’ minds, my God.”

The same outlet heavily criticized the legislation, writing in one opinion piece:
“Early on, AB 50 was filled with loopholes that would make your skin crawl.
“For instance, Leno provided an ‘exemption’ from felony charges if a suspect was caught with less than 100 pieces of child pornography.
“In a creepy all-time low, Assembly Democrats voted for Leno’s plan to go soft on child porn.”
Users across social media reacted to the news of Harris’s close ties with Leno.
“Under Kamala’s watch literally 100s of 1000s of children migrants are unaccounted for (read trafficked),” one X user wrote.
“Now it seems she’s okay with child porn purveyors.
“That woman has some sick friends.”
Another X user wrote, “I wish this was more shocking to me….”
Only time will tell what else is revealed about Harris as the election inches closer.
