Kansas City Chiefs Fans Sing National Anthem after Singer’s Mic Malfunctions

Kansas City Chief fans stepped in to belt out the national anthem after the singer experienced technical issues with the microphone.

The crowd’s performance quickly went viral on social media.

SI reported, “As the National Anthem began, it was clear that Ashanti’s microphone was not functioning properly, cutting in and out as she progressed through the anthem.

“The microphone issues led to an unexpected beautiful moment, as the Chiefs faithful began belting out the National Anthem, assisting Ashanti as her microphone faltered.”

CBS reporter Matt Reynoldson said:

“Arrowhead having mic issues with Ashanti and making up for it with the entire crowd belting the national anthem is pretty cool.”

Fox Sports reporter Harold R. Kuntz said:

“An assist to the Arrowhead Stadium crowd helping sing the National Anthem when Ashanti’s mic didn’t work well to start off.”
