Hollywood leftist Kathy Griffin has warned America to prepare for “civil war” if citizens choose to “vote Republican” in the November midterms.
In a post on Twitter, Griffin, who identifies as a comedian, told voters that they must support Democrats if they want to avoid plunging the United States into civil war.
“If you don’t want a Civil War, vote for Democrats in November,” Griffin tweeted.
“If you do want Civil War, vote Republican.”
The comments were met with a backlash on social media, with many suggesting that Griffin’s post represented a threat.
She pushed back against that idea, however.
“This is WRONG,” Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) tweeted.

“So the logic of this tweet is that the left will start a civil war if Republicans win?” tweeted the Daily Caller’s Vince Coglianese.
In 2017, Griffin posed while holding an object meant to resemble a bloody version of President Donald Trump’s head.
An individual replied to Griffin’s “Civil War” tweet on Tuesday by sharing that bloody head photo.
“We had your civil war for six years now. We’re used to it,” the caption reads.
Griffin responded by posting clown emojis.

Responding to Griffin’s post about the 2022 elections, Breitbart’s Kristina Wong remarked that the tweet “sounds like a threat.”
Griffin responded to Wong’s post by writing, “You guys. The maga blue checks are at it again.
“Because they are constantly threatening Civil War, they are now trying to suggest that I am the one who is threatening a Civil War.
“Because you know, that’s my thing,” she added along with an eye-roll emoji.

Griffin retweeted and thanked an individual who wrote, “People purposefully misconstruing what Kathy Griffin tweeted is so 2022.
“She means that Reps WANT civil war and Dems don’t.
“It’s not a threat, it’s an observation.”

Earlier this year, Griffin described Tesla CEO Elon Musk as “a Piers Morgan level media thirsty, vindictive, white supremacist who is looking to convince you he is an innovative disruptor.”
In June, she also described actor Johnny Depp as “a big orange fat bloated boozebag.”
“He looks like Donald Trump with a ponytail,” she added.
