Keith Olbermann Demands Fox News Closed Down for ‘National Security’ Reasons

Media leftist Keith Olbermann is demanding that Fox News is taken off the air, arguing that the conservative network is a “threat to national security.”

The former MSNBC host-turned-podcaster posted a video to Twitter on Tuesday, in which he declared that “it is time to de-platform and close down Fox News.”

Olbermann was responding to reports that Republican House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) has given Fox News host Tucker Carlson “unfettered” access to 41,000 hours of U.S. Capitol security footage from January 6, 2021.

Carlson and his team are analyzing the footage, which equates to almost 5 years’ worth of video, and will start rorting the findings next week.

Democrats are outraged by McCarthy’s move and have been desperately scrambling to block Carlson’s access to the footage.

Both Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) and CNN analyst Adam Kinzinger, both former members of the Democrats’ now-defunct anti-Trump Jan. 6 Committee, have been blasting Speaker McCarthy over the move.

Social media users have been reminding Kinzinger that Congress has had this footage all along.

The Jan. 6 House Select Committee chose to work with a former ABC producer to edit together a “highlight reel” for the public.

Olbermann isn’t just angry that Carlson has the video, however.

He thinks Fox News should be shut down as a national security risk.

On his “Countdown” podcast, Olbermann claims the footage will likely be used to “provide a roadmap” for future “insurrectionists” to evade detection.
