Kevin Costner has provoked a furious backlash after publicly endorsing Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) this week but it was Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) who landed the knockout blow on the Hollywood star.
Cheney is desperately calling in favors in a last-ditch effort to cling onto her seat in Congress.
The Wyoming congresswoman’s primary challenger, Trump-endorsed Harriet Hageman, has been increasing her lead in the polls, leaving Cheney’s political future doomed.
Earlier she tried to convince Democrat voters to switch parties for the primary.
Now, she’s turned to “Yellowstone” actor Kevin Costner.
Cheney landed an endorsement from Costner that she promoted on social media.
She shared a picture of Coster wearing a shirt that said: “I’m for Liz Cheney.”
Cheney captioned the photo: “Real men put country over party.”

Costner, who has a history of supporting Democrat candidates, said in 2020 about his politics: “I vote for who I think has the best interests of the country and how we sit in the world.
“The Democratic Party doesn’t represent everything that I think, and neither does the Republican Party right now — at all.
“So, I find it too limiting.”
Enter Lauren Boebert who shredded Coster with one of her famous one-liners:
“How did Kevin Costner go from Dancing with Wolves to slumming with RINOs?” she said on Twitter.

Meanwhile, even CNN could barely find a Cheney voter in Wyoming.
CNN’s Randi Kaye did a segment where she asked Wyoming voters about the race.
Most denounced Cheney.
Voters accused Cheney of pushing “propaganda,” being “dirty” and “an embarrassment,” and described her work on the anti-Trump Jan. 6 Committee as “repulsive.”
CNN was only able to find two Cheney supporters at Frontier Days.
Cheney’s office points to her remarks in June: “I’m asking for your vote and I’m asking you to understand that I will never violate my oath of office, and if you’re looking for somebody who will, then you need to vote for somebody else on this stage because I won’t.” pic.twitter.com/zdZ5Chh2sa
