Lauren Boebert Lands Knockout Blow on Twitter: ‘Elon Musk Now Literally Owns the Libs’

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) delivered the best line about Tesla CEO Elon Musk buying the social media platform Twitter after being rebuffed by the Board at first.

The left did not take the news well and seemed to acknowledge they like free speech as long as they are the ones deciding what is allowed.

Some of the Dems fell into hysterics and sounded foolish but others like MSNBC’s Ari Melber seemed unaware of what happened in the last few years. Remember, when Obama and the Dems used social media effectively in 2008 and 2012 they were hailed as geniuses.

But when the GOP learned the same lessons and beat the Dems at their social media game it was a scandal that called for censorship. Melber said: “If you own all of Twitter, or Facebook, or what have you, you don’t have to explain yourself.

“You don’t even have to be transparent. You could secretly ban one party’s candidate, or all of its candidates, all of its nominees.

“Or you could just secretly turn down the reach of their stuff and turn up the reach of something else and the rest of us might not even find out about it until after the election.

“Elon Musk says this is all to help people because he is just a free speech, philosophically clear open-minded, helper.”

Fox News’ Kayleigh McEnany fired back at Melber saying, “Sounds familiar…”

But it was Lauren Boebert who delivered the best line of the entire story. She said: “Elon Musk now literally owns the libs.”

Twitter Co-founder thinks the Dems are not seeing the picture clearly and his opinion as he started the company should matter more than most.

“In principle, I don’t believe anyone should own or run Twitter. It wants to be a public good at a protocol level, not a company. Solving the problem of it being a company, however, Elon is the singular solution I trust.

“I trust his mission to extend the light of consciousness. Elon’s goal of creating a platform that is “maximally trusted and broadly inclusive” is the right one.

“This is also @paraga’s goal, and why I chose him. Thank you both for getting the company out of an impossible situation. This is the right path…I believe it with all my heart.

“I’m so happy Twitter will continue to serve the public conversation. Around the world, and into the stars.”
