Lauren Boebert Slams Left over Gas Prices: Voting Democrat ‘Has Become Pretty Expensive, Hasn’t It?’

Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) has slammed Democrat voters as the United States continues to see record-high gas prices.

Boebert blasted voters who complained about President Donald Trump’s “mean tweets” but are now left footing the bill for sky-high prices in Joe Biden’s America.

“The national average for REGULAR gas is now at $4.59/gallon – another all-time record for gas prices,” The Colorado congresswoman said.

“JP Morgan says it could reach as high at $6 a gallon by August!

“‘No mean tweets’ has become pretty expensive, hasn’t it?”

Her comments come as the polls reflect the nationwide buyer’s remorse from having Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in the White House.

Boebert then offered some good news:

“Turnout for the GOP so far in the primaries increased by 38% from 2018, while Democrat turnout is up just 3%.

“The people are moving in the direction that BEST represents their values AND their wallets.”

She continued by invoking Elon Musk who said the teleprompter is the real president.

“Throughout his presidency, Joe Biden has never told a lie.

“Only his teleprompter has lied.

“President Ron Burgundy.”

U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) along with Senators John Cornyn (R-TX), Cynthia Lummis (R-WY), Jerry Moran (R-KS), Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), Tommy Tuberville (R-AK), Dan Sullivan (R-AK), John Thune (R-SD), John Kennedy (R-LA), Mike Lee (R-UT), James Inhofe (R-OK), Bill Cassidy (R-LA), Roy Blunt (R-MO), Roger Wicker (MS), James Lankford (Okla.), John Barrasso (WY), Richard Shelby (R-AK), Cindy Hyde-Smith (MS), Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV), and Steve Daines (R-MT) sent a letter to President Biden’s Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo calling for the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) to quickly issue permits required to bring additional production online from existing offshore federal oil and gas leases.

These permits are currently delayed.

The senators wrote:

“While the Biden Administration and Members of Congress fault the domestic oil and gas industry for sitting idle on over 9,000 drilling permits and millions of acres in ‘inactive leases,’ NMFS’s permitting delays represent one example of the Administration’s de facto ban on new drilling – impeding domestic oil and gas investment, exploration, and production.

“It is unacceptable that agency miscalculations have restricted access to safe, secure, and reliable domestic oil and gas production through substantial, unnecessary, and arbitrary permitting delays,” they wrote.

Ted Cruz issued a statement about the letter that said:

“The letter notes that the delays are principally due to ‘three administration-made and admitted mistakes’ caused by mathematic errors in calculating the number of endangered species in the Gulf of Mexico in a 2021 Final Rule governing offshore oil and gas exploration based on those faulty calculations.

“The senators called on Secretary Raimondo to ‘expeditiously correct these errors by putting in place tangible short-term solutions to stop any further permitting delays,’ including an interim rule allowing permitting to continue, expeditiously issuing a new Final Rule to correct the miscalculations, and shifting resources to process permits under alternative mechanisms.”
