Leftists Celebrate Death of Lynette Hardaway of ‘Diamond & Silk’ on Social Media

“Woke” leftists have been taking to social media to celebrate the death of Lynnette Hardaway, best known as Diamond of the duo “Diamond and Silk.”

People across the country paid tribute to Hardaway after she passed away unexpectedly on Monday night.

A GiveSendGo page was been set up in her honor with a message that says:

โ€œThe World just lost a True Angel and Warrior Patriot for Freedom, Love, and Humanity! Diamond blazed a trail, founded on her passion and love for the entire race of humanity. The memory of her passing should forever remain in our hearts. In this time of grief, please respect the privacy of Diamondโ€™s family but remember and celebrate the gift that she gave us all!โ€

President Donald Trump said: โ€œReally bad news for Republicans and frankly, ALL Americans.

โ€œOur beautiful Diamond, of Diamond and Silk, has just passed away at her home in the State she loved so much, North Carolina.

โ€œSilk was with her all the way, and at her passing.

“There was no better TEAM anywhere, or at any time! Diamondโ€™s death was totally unexpected, probably her big and precious HEART just plain gave out.

โ€œRest In Peace our Magnificent Diamond, you will be greatly missed!โ€

“She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

“Prayers to her family during this time, especially her sister Silk. RIPโ€

Terrence K. Williams said: โ€œThis is truly heartbreaking. This one hit hard.

“Diamond, of Diamond and Silk has passed away. Iโ€™m at a lost for.

“We will miss you and most definitely will never forget you. Love you forever.

“Please keep her sister Silk in your prayers. RIP Legend.โ€

CCG Bryson said: โ€œRIP Diamond from Diamond and silk. Wow.

“This was very unexpected. They were so cool and always showed love. Man.โ€

Pastor Mark Burns said: โ€œMy dear sister Diamond of @DiamondandSilk has gone to be with Jesus.

“My heart is so heavy tonight because we served on so many events together for so long.

“I know she was saved and now in the presence of God.

“We will see you again Diamond. I love you my dear sister. RIH Diamond.โ€

But not everyone was gracious, many others took the opportunity to trash a dead woman and her grieving sister.

Some of the uglier posts on social media were celebrating the death of a great American.

Many took to social media to use the news of Hardaway’s death to trash Trump and conservatives, as seen below:

โ€œDiamond and Silk were conservative White Americaโ€™s Black friends. They created a permission system for Trump supporters to be racist. When they were called out for bigotry, they would just say how much they loved Diamond and Silk. Grifters. That said, RIP Diamond.โ€

โ€œRIP Diamond, conservatives just lost one of the few black people they can use to pretend they arenโ€™t racist.โ€

โ€œRIP, Diamond. Her real name, for all of the Conservative white folks who only know her as the paid minstrel show gimmick she sold herself as, is Ineitha Lynnette Hardaway. I betchu Trump and most of The Right canโ€™t even tell you which one was Diamond and which one is Silk.โ€

Other users took to Twitter to spread conspiracy theories about Hardaway’s death.

Liberal critics celebrated while claiming that she had died of Covid after speaking out against the vaccines.

Temple University professor Marc Lamont Hill was among those criticizing Diamond โ€” and perpetuating the claim that she had died of complications from COVID.

โ€œDiamond โ€”of the right-wing, Trump- loving duo Diamond and Silkโ€” has died,โ€ he tweeted.

“In late November, she was hospitalized due to COVID-19.

“The duo was fired by Fox News a couple years ago for spreading misinformation about COVID-19 and vaccines.

“You cannot script this stuff.”

Chef and TV host Andrew Zimmernย joined in as well, adding, โ€œSome of saddest news each day, reports ofย Covidย deniers, those who thought it a myth, dying ofย Covidย Lynette Hardaway, aka โ€˜Diamondโ€™ from the MAGA Trump supporting duoย Diamond and Silk, died from contracting what she frequently called โ€˜a hoaxโ€™.

“Please stop believing the lies!โ€

โ€œLynette Hardaway, aka โ€˜Diamondโ€™ from the MAGA Trump supporting duoย Diamond and Silk, died from contracting what she called โ€˜a hoaxโ€™ better known asย COVID-19,โ€ Bishop Talbert Swan tweeted.

“The irony is palpable.”

โ€œDiamond and Silk were fired from Fox News for pushing COVID conspiracies and tonight, Diamond died from COVID,” Chris D. Jackson commented.

“It just writes itself, doesnโ€™t it?โ€ he added.

However, some urged caution over the false claims about her death.

The Daily Beast political reporter Will Sommer noted that Diamondโ€™s official cause of death had not yet been revealed.

He added that the original article claiming that her November hospital visit had been the result of Covid did not appear to have any reliable source.

โ€œIโ€™m seeing claims that Diamond of Diamond and Silkโ€”a Covid-19 vaccine haterโ€”died of Covid and was hospitalized for it in Nov,โ€ he said.

“But truth is her cause of death isnโ€™t clear yet, and the Nov. claims that she had Covid came from a Blavity article that appears to have been deleted.”
