Former Congresswoman Liz Cheney (R-WY) has been appearing on national television to warn the American people that President Donald Trump allegedly plans to install himself as a “dictator.”
Cheney is predicting that Trump will turn the United States into a dictatorship if he wins a second term in 2024.
As Slay News reported, Cheney even made the bizarre prediction that Trump would refuse to leave office at the end of his second term.
Cheney is a vocal Trump critic who was forced out of the Republican Congress over her views on the 45th president.
Nevertheless, she is doubling down on her anti-Trump agenda.
She insists that she would do “whatever it takes” to stop Trump, even if it means voting for Democrat President Joe Biden.
This position is surprising considering large numbers of Democrats now say they won’t vote for Biden.
“A vote for Donald Trump may mean the last election that you ever get to vote in,” she told NBC’s Today.
“A vote for Donald Trump is a vote against the Constitution.”
According to Cheney, the “threat” of Trump winning and never relinquishing power is “very, very real.”
“I think it’s a very, very real threat and concern,” she war.
“And I don’t say any of that lightly and frankly, it’s painful for me as someone who has spent her whole life in Republican politics.
Cheney said it’s “painful” to “watch what’s happening to my party and to watch the extent to which Donald Trump himself has basically determined that the only thing that matters is him, his power and his success.”
Cheney later told the Washington Post she would consider running for president as a third-party candidate to stop Trump.
Trump has shown remarkable resilience, despite an effort to railroad his presidential campaign with politically driven criminal indictments.
Mainstream media have begun to hit the panic button, fearful that voters struggling with painful inflation will give Trump another chance at governing.
The Atlantic, a major liberal magazine, dedicated an entire issue to various apocalyptic scenarios “if Trump wins.”
The Washington Post warned that a Trump “dictatorship” is “increasingly inevitable” and compared Trump to Julius Caeser.
Trump’s critics have been warning that America’s democracy is at stake in the election.
However, Trump has begun to dispute the claim on its merits, exposing Biden as the real threat to democracy.
Trump is facing multiple politically motivated criminal investigations, all led by Democrats.
Democrats are leading a concerted lawfare campaign to block him from the ballot.
If elected, Trump promises to liberate the country from Biden’s “banana republic.”
“They’ve been waging an all-out war on American democracy,” Trump said Saturday.
“If you put me back in the White House, that reign will be over and America will be a free nation once again.”
