Joe Scarborough, DNC Chair Melt Down over ‘Maggot-Infested Man’ Tom Cotton: ‘Absolutely, Positively Shameful’

MSNBC host Joe Scarborough and Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chairman Jaime Harrison collectively imploded while trashing Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR).

During Scarborough’s show “Morning Joe,” the pair lashed out at Cotton, with Harrison bizarrely calling the senator a “maggot-infested man.”

“He is twisting this so out of context,” Scarborough said of Cotton following his heated remarks over Judge Ketanji Jackson Brown’s nomination for the Supreme Court.

“It is a wretched display for yet another Ivy League guy.

“Another Ivy leaguer who went to Harvard Law School, lying to you, acting stupid about what happens when you’re a public defender, what happens when you’re assigned a case.

“You know why you’re assigned those cases?

“Because the Constitution of the United States of America, which Republicans like Tom Cotton claim to defend.

“They carry it around in their pocket, hold up their little pocket-sized Constitutions, but don’t really give a damn about what’s inside of it.

“Because if Tom Cotton did, he’d understand that she was doing what the Constitution of the United States guarantees every American, that lawyers will do, and that lawyers have done since the beginning of this republic.

“He knows better.

“That’s what makes it so absolutely, positively shameful.”

Harrison then weighed in and upped the ante, saying:

“In a Senate where there is Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Tom Cotton is the lowest of the low.

“It shows you who this little maggot-infested man is. He does not deserve to have that pen.

“He doesn’t deserve to be in the United States Senate representing the good people of Arkansas.

“He put his hand on the Bible, took an Oath of Office to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, and he use it as a play toy.

“That is the Republican party we see today.

“It is a party built on fraud, fear, and fascism.

“They don’t deserve to be in power.

“Not because Democrats should, but because they don’t deserve to be in power of this great nation,” he said.
