Fox Business star Maria Bartiromo has spoken out to ask why disgraced FTX “fraudster” Sam Bankman-Fried has not been arrested yet.
During her show “Mornings with Maria,” Bartiromo asked Sen. Cynthia Lummis (R-WY) whether Bankman-Fried is getting TV interviews rather than getting arrested because he donated a massive amount of cash to the Democrats.
Bartiromo was responding after Bankman-Fried issued a video statement during the New York Times summit, downplaying his actions and claiming he didn’t commit fraud.
“I didn’t ever try to commit fraud on anyone,” Bankman-Fried said.
“I was excited about the prospects of FTX a month ago.
“I saw it as a thriving, growing business.
“I was shocked by what happened this month, and reconstructing it, there are things I wish I’d done differently.”

Sen. Lummis said: “Well, I think that these were well-educated, sophisticated fraudsters.
“I think it’s obviously fraud.
“So the Justice Department needs to get involved.
“This was just pure and simple, good old-fashioned fraud, and it needs to be handled through the criminal procedures.”
Bartiromo said:
“But if it’s good old-fashioned fraud, why is he doing the rounds this morning?
“He was on GMA.
“He was at the New York Times summit.
“Why isn’t he in handcuffs?
“Is it because he donated $40 million to Democrats?”
“Well I hope that’s not it,” said Lummis.
“But it does have the appearance of a kid glove treatment for someone who had mesmerized the public.”

Bankman-Fried is one of the Democratic Party’s largest donors.
As Slay News reported, the FTX founder donated $40 to Democrats during the 2022 election cycle alone and was second only to radical billionaire George Soros.
He was reportedly planning on spending a staggering $1 billion during the 2024 election, which would make Bankman-Fried the largest donor in history.
