Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has introduced articles of impeachment against Democrat President Joe Biden.
Greene says Biden must be removed from office for “draining our reserves and selling our oil.”
The congresswoman is responding to Biden’s handling of the energy crisis and his administration’s moves to sell America’s much need oil reserves to foreign companies linked to his son Hunter Biden.
“I just introduced articles of impeachment on President Joe Biden,” Greene said in a statement.
“Joe Biden is selling our strategic petroleum reserves.
“This should never happen.
“He is draining our reserves and selling our oil, Americans’ oil to foreign countries.
“And China is the top buyer,” she noted.
“China is our enemy. They are not our friend.
“They’re buying Americans’ oil.
“The Strategic Petroleum Reserve is our emergency supply for if something goes wrong in this country.
“It’s now down to 434 million barrels of oil.
“That is nearly half of what it was when President Trump left office.
“This is an outrage,” the Georgia lawmaker declared.
“This is completely wrong. And no president of the United States should be doing this to the American people.
“It’s going to create a national emergency crisis.
“And that’s exactly what President Joe Biden is doing,” she said.
“This is the number, H.R. 1362 to impeach Joe Biden.”
The resolution says:
Impeaching Joseph R. Biden, President of the United States, for endangering, compromising, and undermining the energy security of the United States by selling oil from the United States’ Strategic Petroleum Reserve to foreign nations.
Resolved, That Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr., President of the United States, is impeached for endangering, compromising, and undermining the energy security of the United States by selling oil from the United States’ Strategic Petroleum Reserve to foreign nations, and that the following Articles of Impeachment be exhibited to the United States Senate:
Articles of Impeachment exhibited by the House of Representatives of the United States of America in the name of itself and of the people of the United States of America, against Joseph Robinette Biden, President of the United States of America, in maintenance and support of its impeachment against him for endangering, compromising, and undermining the energy security of the United States by selling oil from the United States’ Strategic Petroleum Reserve to foreign nations.
The Constitution provides that the House of Representatives “shall have the sole Power of Impeachment” and that the President “shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or High Crimes and Misdemeanors.”
In his conduct as President of the United States, in violation of his constitutional oath to faithfully execute the office of the President of the United States, and, to the best of his ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States—Joseph Robinette Biden continues to materially endanger the energy security of the United States and empower foreign adversaries in their objective to subvert the United States as the dominant global economic and political power.
No President should be selling the American people’s oil to our enemies.
