Marjorie Taylor Greene Vows to Defund Fauci and James Comey’s Retirement Funds

Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has vowed to take action to “punish” several former top federal officials accused of weaponizing their powers.

Greene warned that House Republicans will drop the hammer on Dr. Anthony Fauci, disgraced former FBI agent Peter Strzok, ex-FBI Director James Comey, and former CIA Chief John Brennan by “defunding their retirements.”

The congresswoman said the GOP will move forward with the plans once the debt ceiling bill is passed.

She said: “Once we pass the debt ceiling bill, these are just a few of the things House Republicans will be able to do in appropriations to take down the Deep State.”

Greene then listed the moves that House Republicans are planning to make:

  • Punish Dr. Fauci, Peter Strzok, James Comey, and John Brennan by defunding their retirements
  • Terminate all government-funded COVID vaccine programs
  • Disband the 87,000 IRS army
  • Take down Biden’s domestic terror units in the FBI, DOJ, and Homeland Security that target conservatives
  • Punish everyone mentioned in the Durham Report for pushing the Trump-Russia hoax
  • Cut funding for all Green New Deal projects
  • Defund sanctuary cities
  • Cancel funding for the FBI’s new HQ in Virginia
  • Defund ATF programs that violate the Second Amendment
  • Hold FISA courts accountable for spying on over 278,000 Americans

According to Fox News:

The House passed legislation late Wednesday to implement the debt ceiling agreement negotiated between President Biden and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, putting Congress on track to allow more borrowing just days before the government is expected to run out of money.

The bill passed in a 314-117 vote that saw majorities in both parties support the agreement, which also meets the GOP demand of cutting nondefense discretionary spending over the next two years.

Republicans supported the bill by a 149-71 margin, and Democrats supported it 165-46.

Democrats took credit for helping get the bill across the finish line.

Earlier in the day, 52 Democrats made the rare move of voting with Republicans in a procedural vote to keep the bill alive.

“I thank House Democrats for your steady hand, for your unity of purpose, for your efforts to make sure that we push back the extreme mega Republican efforts to jam right-wing cuts down the throats of the American people that would have undermined the health, the safety and the economic well-being of everyday Americans,” Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries said on Wednesday night.
