Megyn Kelly Praises Tucker Carlson for Giving ‘Fox News a Dose of Its Own Medicine’

Megyn Kelly has praised Tucker Carlson for sticking it to Fox News and giving the embattled “Foxweiser” a “dose of its own medicine.”

Kelly said Fox News is in a tight spot because Carlson fought back.

During a segment on her SiriusXM “The Megyn Kelly Show,” she spoke about Carlson announcing would be bringing his show to Twitter after “parting ways” with Fox News on April 24.

“I’m delighted to see what he’s doing,” Kelly said.

“I’m delighted that he’s going to go out with his own show.

“Tucker decided to give Fox News a dose of its own medicine.

“‘You want to fight? You got one,’ is essentially what he said.”

She also spoke about Carlson’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, sending a letter to Fox News executives including “Rupert Murdoch himself” warning them they intentionally broke promises made to Carlson “with reckless disregard for the truth.”

Kelly said she would “love to see a fight” between Carlson and Fox News.

“Do not predict Fox News will win,” Kelly said.

“And even if they did win, how do they win their viewers back?

“That’s the real question. Well, the only fight is about whether they’re trying to silence their favorite host.

“Right? How does that happen?

“I want to watch it happen. Love to see it happen.

“It doesn’t take this to an arbitrator.

“They’re not going to take this to a court, but that’s what Tucker is threatening.”

WATCH:

Kelly was referring to the stern letter Carlson sent to Fox News accusing the network of fraud and breach of contract.

The letter from Tucker’s lawyers argued that the noncompete clause in his contract is invalid.

The letter said:

“These actions not only breached the covenant of good faith and fair dealing in the Agreement, but give rise to claims for breach of contract, and intentional and negligent misrepresentation.

“Make no mistake, we intend to subpoena Ms. Briganti’s cell phone records and related documents, which evidence communications with her and all media, including, but not limited to The New York Times.”
