Megyn Kelly set Whoopi Goldberg straight after “The View” host made controversial remarks about police brutality and racism.
During a broadcast of the ABC show this week, Goldberg wondered if things will change with police brutality when white people get beaten by police.
Goldberg was commenting on the Memphis case that saw a young black man killed by 5 African American cops.
“Peaceful protests continued nationwide after Friday’s release of police footage showing officers savagely beating Tyre Nichols in Memphis,” Goldberg said about the violent rioting.
“So far, five cops have been charged with second-degree murder and kidnapping.
“I asked this question way too many times at this table, but you know, when will the brutality finally lead to some police reform from the ground up?
“Because clearly, it doesn’t matter if it’s a white policeman or a black policeman.
“It is the problem with the policing itself. It seems things don’t make sense to people unless it’s somebody they can feel or they can recognize.
“Do we need to see white people also get beat before anybody will do anything?
“I’m not suggesting that. So don’t write to us and tell me what a racist I am.
“I’m just asking, is that what people have to see in order to wake up and realize this affects us all?”
Enter Megyn Kelly, who said: “The media coverage of this case has gone away awfully quickly.
“There is nothing close to what we saw after George Floyd, even though the beating was even more brutal.
“You’d think there’d be outrage that would be ongoing, but no, because it doesn’t have the very sexy race angle that the Left loves to play out and put on loop.
“It’s not that you Goldberg are a racist, it’s that you’re dumb. That’s your problem.
“You’re uninformed just like the rest of your colleagues on your set.
“Whites have a much higher chance of being killed by cops than blacks do.
“Those are the facts.
“The fact that she doesn’t know that is a result of the fact that she actually doesn’t either care to go find the facts, or she just consumes the wrong media.
“Because the media she’s watching never shows those cases or highlights facts.
“So she’s got her head in the …I’ll say the clouds.”
