First Lady Melania Trump has just secured a major multi-million dollar deal with Amazon for a new documentary.
While President Donald Trump is known for his business savvy and his ability to turn deals into pure gold, his wife Melania is also proving to be exceedingly impressive in that realm.
According to the New York Post, the first lady inked a major deal with e-commerce giant Amazon for a documentary about her life.
The deal is worth a staggering $40 million, and Melania Trump will reportedly walk away with about $28 million herself.
In addition to landing the massive deal, the first lady has also reportedly been shopping sponsorship deals for the film.
According to reports, Melania Trump also made a deal with wealthy CEOs at her husband’s inauguration party regarding being mentioned at the end of the film.
The New York Post reported:
The first lady also reportedly told blue-chip CEOs who attended her husband’s inauguration on Jan. 20 that they would need to pony up at least $10 million in exchange for being acknowledged at the end of the film’s credits.
The CEOs who ponied up for the mention in the credits would also reportedly get a special access invitation to the premier of the documentary upon its release.
Notably, mention of the finalization of the mega-deal came in the wake of Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos visiting President Trump and his wife at Mar-a-Lago.
Bezos met with Trump at the same time other tech billionaires and leaders sought to win favor with the new administration.
The Post added:
According to the Journal, the first lady was keen on persuading Bezos, the Amazon founder and Washington Post owner who historically has had a fraught relationship with the president, to buy the rights to the documentary.
Bezos not only agreed to pick up the documentary but also eventually donated $1 million to Trump’s inauguration fund.
Fans of the first lady were thrilled to hear about the lucrative deal.
