Michael Avenatti Says Case Against Trump Is Weak, Will ‘Be Very Damaging to the Prosecution’

Democrat felon Michael Avenatti has warned that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg is making a big mistake by going after President Donald Trump.

Avenatti, who has since been convicted on multiple fraud charges, was Stormy Daniels’ lawyer.

The disgraced attorney argues that the case against Trump is weak and trying to take it to trial would “be very damaging to the prosecution.”

Speaking from prison, Avenatti said: “There are many critical facts and pieces of evidence (texts, emails, etc.) relating to the hush money scandal that have yet to see the light of day.

“And they will unfortunately be very damaging to the prosecution if Trump stands trial.

“At this point, you simply can’t build a case on the testimony of Cohen & Daniels

“Atty Joe Tacopina is no Rudy Giuliani/Sydney Powell.

“The guy knows his way around a criminal courtroom.

“He will destroy Michael ‘Dumb as a Box of Rocks’ Cohen on the stand, esp. seeing as Cohen publicly lied for 15 mos. and now won’t stop talking on TV.”

As Slay News reported earlier, House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH), House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY), and House Administration Committee Chairman Bryan Steil (R-WI) are now demanding that Bragg testifies before Congress regarding the case.

They wrote him a letter that said:

“Your decision to pursue such a politically motivated prosecution—while adopting progressive criminal justice policies that allow career ‘criminals [to] run[ ] the streets’ of Manhattan —requires congressional scrutiny about how public safety funds appropriated by Congress are implemented by local law enforcement agencies.

“In addition, your apparent decision to pursue criminal charges where federal authorities declined to do so requires oversight to inform potential legislative reforms about the delineation of prosecutorial authority between federal and local officials.

“Accordingly, to advance our oversight, please produce the following documents and information for the period January 1, 2017, to the present…

“In addition, your testimony is necessary to advance our oversight and to inform potential legislative reforms,” the letter said.
