A Democrat staffer has openly praised a satanic statue that was erected in front of the Michigan State Capitol.
The staffer, Samantha Skorka, posted an image of herself kissing the satanic statue on social media before quickly deleting it.
The Satanic Temple erected the statue of Satan in front of the Michigan Capitol earlier this week.
The organization claims that the Satanic altars are meant to promote “religious diversity.”
However, the statue has sparked outrage among Christians who oppose Satan and all his works.
Seven Republican state legislators signed a letter demanding the statue’s removal.
Meanwhile, Skorka took a picture with the Satanic idol, praising it as “sexy.”
Skorka uploaded a photo to X of her kissing the “sexy” Satanic idol.
“In the name of Satan, I claim the sexy satanic baphomet goat altar at OUR Michigan Capitol. Amen,” said Skorka.

However, Skorka claimed that her comments were just a joke after deleting the post amid a backlash.
Well clearly you can’t make a joke on the internet anymore 🤷🏻♀️

The news comes as multiple Republican state legislators have been calling on the Capitol Commission to remove the statue.
The GOP lawmakers penned a letter to members of the Capitol Commission that reads:
“We, as members of the Michigan House of Representatives, respectfully request the removal of the statue depicting a satanic goat from the grounds of the Capitol.
“We believe that its presence not only contradicts the foundational principles of our nation but also promotes a public display of evil.
“Our nation’s ethos is deeply rooted in moral and virtuous principles, as highlighted by John Adams in his letter to the Massachusetts Militia: ‘Morality and virtue are the foundation of our Republic and necessary for a society to be free.’
“The presence of this statue at the Capitol seems to undermine these core values, which are fundamental to the Republic’s foundation,” it continues.
“As elected representatives of our respective districts, we are entrusted with upholding the values and principles our nation was built upon.
“Therefore, we strongly urge the Capitol Commission to consider the implications of having such a statue on the Capitol grounds and to take decisive action in its removal. Our firm belief is that removing this statue will resonate with the principles of good and morality that our country cherishes,” the letter states.
