MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski called out the Biden campaign official who led the bizarre anti-Trump press conference outside the New York City courthouse where the “hush money” trial has been taking place.
As Slay News reported, Democrat President Joe Biden’s re-election campaign made the questionable decision to hold a presser outside the courthouse while closing arguments were taking place inside.
The campaign took advantage of the media presence and large crowds that had gathered outside for the final day of proceedings for the trial against President Donald Trump.
Biden campaign communications director Michael Tyler led the press conference which featured speeches from “special guests,” including anti-Trump Hollywood star Robert De Niro.
During his trainwreck speech, De Niro made a series of wild, unhinged statements about President Trump.
The actor invoked 9/11 and suggested that Trump should be treated in a similar way to the terrorists behind the attacks because he “wants” to “destroy the world.”

De Niro was joined by two former police officers, Michael Fanone and Harry Dunn, who testified against Trump during the Democrats’ Jan. 6 “investigations.”
However, De Niro ended up getting drawn into a back-and-forth with someone in the crowd who called Fanone and Dunn “traitors” to their faces.

In the aftermath of the presser, Tyler appears on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” Wednesday to discuss the move.
However, the show’s anti-Trump hosts told Tyler that the Biden campaign made a mistake by holding the event outside the courtroom.
As many have noted, it was a cheap shot that made the Biden campaign look desperate, and Brzezinski appears to agree.
“I guess I have to ask you why you decided to speak there and to have the campaign show up at the courthouse,” Brzezinski said to Tyler.
“I don’t know. It doesn’t feel right to me at all.”

Tyler said the campaign, De Niro, and the two former police officers decided to speak outside the courtroom on Tuesday because the media had been “incessantly posted up there for weeks.”
He claimed Trump needed to answer for the “continued threat” he poses to democracy, as well as his “embrace of political violence.”
“So that’s what Robert De Niro and officers Fanone and Dunn were speaking to down in Manhattan yesterday,” he said.
Tyler then continued by making a series of false statements about President Trump which went completely unchecked by the MSNBC host.
“They were speaking to the fact that Donald Trump still regularly embraces political violence, is calling for a bloodbath if he loses this election, and is pledging to rule as a dictator on day one,” Tyler deceitfully claimed.
However, Brzezinski questioned the location of the press conference and pushed back on the move.
“Last week when the members of Congress showed up to support Donald Trump, I called it unbecoming of the office, of their serving the people of their district,” Brzezinski said.
“American citizens are not supposed to politicize a court proceeding, and I feel the same way about the campaign.
“Is there any concern about the campaign getting a little bit too close to these court proceedings and could that backfire?
“Any concerns looking back was it a good decision?”
Tyler responded by saying he had no concerns about the location of their press conference.
He then argued the focus was on highlighting the “threat to democracy” that Trump supposedly poses.
De Niro got into angry clashes with Trump supporters at the presser, which raised eyebrows online.
Asked if the campaign intends to do more surprise press conferences, Tyler said they had to be creative about reaching the electorate.
“One thing that this campaign understands is that we operate in an increasingly fragmented and fractured media environment, and so when you have one thing like this trial that’s taking up a lot of oxygen, you have to be creative, you have to use every tool at your disposal to break through that clutter and communicate your message to the electorate,” he said.
“That’s what yesterday was about and this campaign will continue to be creative in the way we reach the voters where they are right now.”
De Niro claimed during the press conference that he joined the Biden campaign to “preserve our freedoms,” and “hold on to our humanity.”
“Donald Trump wants to destroy not only the city, but the country,” the liberal actor claimed.
“And eventually he could destroy the world.”
“I owe this city a lot,” De Niro said.
“And that’s why it’s so weird that Donald Trump is just across the street because he doesn’t belong in my city.
“I don’t know where he belongs, but he certainly doesn’t belong here.
“We New Yorkers used to tolerate him when he was just another grubby real estate hustler masquerading as a big shot,” De Niro added.
