MyPillow founder and CEO Mike Lindell has confirmed that he is launching a challenge against Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel to lead the Republican National Committee (RNC).
Lindell said he wants to replace McDaniel as RNC chair following the GOP’s underwhelming performance in the 2022 midterm elections.
“Ronna McDaniel has failed in her leadership,” Lindell said.
“We need a new input to get a different output.
“Everyone I’ve talked to of these state chairs, they need new leadership.
“I don’t know if this is a paid position, nor do I care.
“I want to help save our country.
“We need someone who knows how to run a business to lead one of the most important organizations in our country.
“We need someone everybody, and I would step into that, if God willing.”
Lindell tells Bannon today that he’s spoken with big donors and state leaders about his potential challenge to Ronna McDaniel: “The RNC’s a mess. The donors are upset, All the people I talked to within the organization are upset, some of them are quitting. It needs to be fixed.” pic.twitter.com/x6rCOf9k7A

Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-NY) is also considering a run against McDaniel, Sen. Mitt Romney’s (R-UT) niece.
He wrote a letter to the RNC that said:
“Due to the amount of requests I have received from both inside and outside the 168 about running to be the next chair of the Republican National Committee, I am very seriously considering your request and am grateful for your messages.”

Meanwhile, McDaniel believes she has the votes and said recently:
“I’m humbled to have earned the support of over 100 members and officers at this time for my re-election bid.
“I look forward to continue working hard on behalf of the grassroots, in every state and territory, to grow our Party and invest in the critical infrastructure needed to keep the House, take back the Senate, and retire Joe Biden in 2024.”

“How do you take someone who lost everything and give her another term?”
