New York City’s Democrat Mayor Eric Adams has issued a warning to Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) regarding her plans to protest in support of President Donald Trump.
Adams was responding to Greene revealing that she intends to visit New York to protest the arraignment of Trump on Tuesday.
The mayor specifically named Greene and accused the congresswoman of spreading so-called “misinformation and hate speech.”
He then warned Greene to “be on your nest behavior.”
“Although we have no specific threats, people like Marjorie Taylor Greene, who is known to spread misinformation and hate speech – she stated she is coming to town,” Adams said.
“While you’re in town, be on your best behavior.
“As always, we will not allow violence or vandalism of any kind.
“If one is caught participating in any act of violence, they will be arrested and held accountable.”
White House spokesperson John Kirby said: “We’ll be prepared, should there be a need, but hopefully there won’t be that need.
“There should be no need for anybody to want to visit violence on fellow citizens around this or any other legal proceeding.
“Violence has no place in the United States.
“Peaceful protest has very much value place in our democracy.”

Greene originally told her supporters not to protest Trump’s indictment but changed her mind and will now travel to the Big Apple to oppose the move.
She said:
“I changed my mind because we — it’s our First Amendment right.
“And we have a right to protest.
“And it’s so absolutely horrible what Alvin Bragg has done, and he’s truly crossed the line with our justice system.”
“I also reject any attempt and anyone who dresses in MAGA but incites violence or commits violence while pretending to be one of us.
“You are not one of us, you are one of them.”
