Failed Republican primary candidate Nikki Haley has refused to endorse President Donald Trump for reelection while announcing the end of her own 2024 campaign.
As Slay News reported earlier, Haley finally ended her campaign after getting crushed by Trump on Super Tuesday following multiple humiliating primary defeats.
The former South Carolina governor announced she was ending her campaign in a speech in Charleston after spending the biggest day of the primaries hidden from the public eye.
In the remarks, Haley said the world is “on fire” because of America’s “retreat.”
She then confirmed that she wouldn’t endorse Trump.
She wished him “luck” and asserted that would not back her former boss, quoting Margaret Thatcher by saying:
“Never just follow the crowd. Always make up your own mind.”
“It is now up to Donald Trump to earn the votes of those in our party and beyond it who did not support him,” she said.
“And I hope he does that.
“At its best, politics is about bringing people into your cause, not turning them away.
“In all likelihood, Trump will be the Republican nominee when our party convention meets in July.
“I congratulate him and wish him well.
“I wish anyone well who would be America’s president.
“Our country is too precious to let our differences divide us.”
She opened the address by saying: “The time has now come to suspend my campaign.
“I said I wanted Americans to have their voices heard.
“I have done that. I have no regrets.
“And although I will no longer be a candidate, I will not stop using my voice for the things I believe in.
“Our national debt will eventually crush our economy.
“A smaller federal government is not only necessary for our freedom, it is necessary for our survival.
“The road to socialism is the road to ruin for America.”

Haley’s departure after a vicious battle with the Republican frontrunner now means the general election will most likely be a rematch between Trump and Democrat President Joe Biden, if the incumbent can make it to November.
A defiant Haley directed fired-up language at Trump by the end of her campaign, claiming he is in cognitive decline.
She also alleged that Trump isn’t the best candidate to beat Biden in November.
Trump started by calling her nicknames such as “Birdbrain” and “Nimrada” – based on her real first name Nimarata.
She survived as the last major GOP challenger Trump, getting the two-person race she wanted.
However, she only ended up getting swallowed by Trump’s overwhelming popularity among base MAGA voters and his Republican supporters.
“Are we really in this country going to have two 80-year-olds running for president?” she told CBS News days ago.
“It is a fact that when you are their age, you have mental decline.”
On Tuesday, Haley told Fox & Friends:
“I haven’t heard him pledge to me that he would support me if I won, so I don’t know why I have to go and pledge to him that I would support him.”
