DeSantis Overrules Biden on WHO’s Global Pandemic Treaty: ‘No Way’ Florida ‘Will Ever Support This’

Florida’s Republican Governor Ron DeSantis has overruled Joe Biden, warning the Democrat president that there is “no way” Florida “will ever support” the World Health Organization’s (WHO) global pandemic treaty.

On Sunday, the World Health Assembly, the governing body of the WHO, met in Geneva, Switzerland, to discuss the next step in its nefarious pandemic treaty.

The global pandemic treaty seeks to use “public health” to expand the WHO’s power over sovereign states.

The Biden administration has been quietly working with WHO on the treaty.

However, it came to light that several months ago, the Biden admin quietly sent the WHO several amendments to a 2005 international health regulation to be considered at the May 22 meeting about the treaty.

“And now is a time when things are shifting,” Biden said on March 21, 2022.

“We’re going to — there’s going to be a new world order out there, and we’ve got to lead it.

“And we’ve got to unite the rest of the free world in doing it.”

“We in Florida, there is no way we will ever support this W.H.O. thing,” DeSantis fired back.

“That’s not going to happen. No way.

“But you saw, I mean, you saw a lot of these elites advocate very pernicious policies…part of the reason people want to move here is because we rejected those policies, but they advocated very pernicious policies, including locking kids out of school.”

DeSantis’s comments come after the WHO has been pushing for the ratification of the Biden-backed “global pandemic treaty.”

The treaty would give the WHO more power and funding.

This is the same organization that was so corrupted by China’s money that Trump pulled out after they botched the pandemic response.

Time magazine approves of the job DeSantis is doing, naming him one of the most influential people of 2022.

Time wrote:

“During the pandemic, most people stayed home, and those who didn’t probably moved to Florida.

“Despite relentless criticism, Governor Ron DeSantis kept schools open, ensured Florida’s economy remained open for business, and allowed individuals to determine their own risk tolerance.

“His approach works. It’s one that has allowed Florida to emerge from the pandemic as a national model of personal freedom, economic growth, environmental protection, and education excellence.

“Florida continues to see record population growth, unemployment remains below the national average, the private sector is growing, and Florida remains a national leader in school choice.

“On top of that, DeSantis has demonstrated his environmental credentials with major investments to restore America’s Everglades, preserve and expand wildlife corridors, and protect Florida’s precious waterways.

“While the Beltway crowd may not like his style, it’s his record that will become his legacy,” Time wrote.
