NTSB Chair Jennifer Homendy has blasted the claim by “The View” co-host Joy Behar that President Donald Trump and his voters are to blame for the East Palestine, Ohio, train derailment disaster.
Homendy says the brake rule, which Behar blamed Trump for repealing, “would not have prevented” the disaster.
Homendy also slammed all those, such as Behar, who are playing politics with the tragedy.
She said: “The wheel bearing failed on car number 23.
“So even with ECP brakes, the derailment would have occurred.
“Enough with the politics on this. Enough with the politics.
“I don’t understand why this has gotten so political.
“This is a community that is suffering.
“This is not about politics.
“This is about addressing their needs, their concerns.
“That’s what this should be about.
“What I care about is caring for them.
“What I care about is figuring out how this happened.
“And what I care about and what the NTSB cares about is getting to what would prevent this from reoccurring.”
“This is about addressing their needs and their concerns,” she added.
“That’s what this should be about. So I don’t care about the politics.
“What I care about is figuring out how this happened.”

She continued:
“I can tell you this much: This was 100% preventable.
“We call things accidents. There is no accident.
“Every single event that we investigate is preventable.
“Know that the NTSB has one goal, and that is safety and ensuring that this never happens again.”
She listed preventable causes like wheel bearings, tank car specifications, the actions of federal entities, the types of information available to state and local responders, and Norfolk Southern’s operational policies, among other potential causes.
“There are often a lot of considerations in what goes into what is preventable,” Homendy said.
“There is usually far more than one thing.”
As Slay News reported earlier, Behar made “The View” audience gasp when she suggested the people in East Palestine, Ohio got what they deserved with the train derailment disaster because they voted for Trump.
“I don’t know why they would ever vote for him, for somebody who, by the way, he placed someone with deep ties to the chemical industry in charge of the EPA’s chemical safety office,” said Behar.
“That’s who you voted for in that district,” she yelled, pointing directly into the camera as the audience gasped in amazement.
“Donald Trump, who reduces all safety.”
Joy Behar implies that the people of East Palestine voted for Trump, so they got what they deserve.
The psychotic contempt of idiotic elites for Trump *voters* has corroded brains and souls
