NYC Mayor Hands Greg Abbott Huge Win, Declares State of Emergency: Migrants Are ‘Burning Through Our Budget’

New York City’s Democrat Mayor Eric Adams has thrown in the towel and handed Republican Texas Governor Greg Abbott a huge victory by declaring a state of emergency over illegal border crossers in NYC.

Adams made the declaration on Friday over the continued busing of migrants from southern states.

The mayor says New York, the biggest city in America, can’t handle 17,000 migrants.

Meanwhile, Democrat President Joe Biden and VP Kamala Harris expect small border towns in Texas and Arizona to deal with ten times more.

“This is a humanitarian crisis that started with violence and instability in South America and is being accelerated by American political dynamics,” Adams said.

“Thousands of asylum seekers have been bused into New York City and simply dropped off, without notice, coordination, or care — and more are arriving every day.

“This crisis is not of our own making but one that will affect everyone in this city, now and in the months ahead.

“New Yorkers deserve to know why this is happening and what we plan to do,” he said.

“It is burning through our budget,” Adams added claiming New York City will spend $1B+ on the crisis this year alone

He demanded help from President Joe Biden, who so far has put his head in the sand on the whole migrant issue, or worse sent Kamala Harris to deal with it.

Harris was just brutally mocked by the liberals at The Daily Show if you were wondering if she has any fans across the country.

Norwegian Cruise Line said New York City has talked to them about using a cruise ship to house the migrants.

“The chartering of cruise ships to companies, government entities and other organizations for various uses is a standard business practice across our industry,” a spokesperson for Norwegian Cruise Line said in a statement to Fox News Digital.

“While we can confirm that New York City has approached us about a potential charter of a cruise vessel, no agreement has been reached and we cannot speculate about the outcome of any ongoing business discussions.”

Reporter Julio Rosas said:

“Adams declares a state of emergency over the number of migrants continuing to arrive in NYC from the southern border amid the ongoing crisis.

“He says around 17,000 have been bused to the city since April of this year.

“Meanwhile, Border Patrol agents in the Del Rio Sector in Texas encountered over 233,000 illegal immigrants between April and August of this year. And that’s just one sector.”
