One Week after Firing Tucker Carlson, Fox News Loses to MSNBC in Primetime Viewers

One week after the shocking removal of star anchor Tucker Carlson, Fox News lost the primetime ratings battle with MSNBC.

Fox came in second place with CNN in third.

But MSNBC did something you don’t see often; winning both the total primetime viewers and the advertiser-coveted 25-54 age demographic.

The news comes after Fox has been dominating cable news, often beating the total audience numbers of CNN and MSNBC combined.

During Monday primetime, Fox News brought in 1.598 million total viewers and 164,000 demo viewers.

But MSNBC had 1.693 million total viewers and 176,000 demo viewers.

CNN was in third place with 481,000 total viewers and 109,000 demo viewers.

Rachel Maddow’s show led prime time with 2.2 million total viewers.

The MSNBC show was the third highest-rated show for the day.

Fox News’s “The Five” and “Jesse Watters Tonight” beat Maddow but both shows run earlier in the day.
