House investigators have uncovered troubling evidence linking the owner of the Chinese bio-lab recently discovered in California to China’s Communist Party (CCP) and military.
As Slay News previously reported, 62-year-old Jia Bei Zhu was arrested in October after law enforcement discovered his biolab by chance.
The lab was found in September when a local code enforcement officer noticed a garden hose attached to the facility.
The hose for the building, which was listed as empty, was a minor code violation.
However, it led police to uncover a lab filled with biological weapons and thousands of vials believed to be experimental viruses, including Covid.
Some of the vials were labeled in Mandarin, others in an undeciphered code.
Zhu was subsequently arrested for distributing misbranded medical devices and lying to the FDA.
The secret lab was located near Fresno, California.
The existence of the lab found on U.S. soil is being investigated by the House Select Subcommittee on the Chinese Communist Party.
However, the committee warns that the inaction regarding this matter from the FBI and U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) raises serious cause of concern.
Zhu, a citizen of Communist China, was reportedly a key figure in the Chinese “military-civil fusion organizations.”
These entities blur the lines between civilian research and military applications.
According to the State Department, This strategy is part of the CCP’s grand vision to transform its People’s Liberation Army into a formidable global power by 2049.
The committee’s investigations have unearthed Zhu’s extensive involvement in several CCP-controlled companies.
However, his activities in the U.S. under the alias “David He” and the discovery of dangerous materials in the unlicensed lab in Reedley, California, are particularly alarming.
In the illegal bio-lab, officials found over 20 potentially infectious agents, including HIV and Malaria.
They also found genetically engineered mice carrying COVID-19.
Zhu confessed to authorities that he was operating his companies to “further PRC policy.”
He revealed that he sought to meet the demands of a PRC premier.
Nevertheless, his efforts raise serious concerns about espionage and intellectual property theft.
Zhu has a history of operating companies in Canada and engaging in the massive theft of American cattle-related intellectual property.
He also fled to the U.S. after a $330 million court judgment.
His track record only adds to the gravity of the situation.
The committee also highlighted Zhu’s inflammatory private messages on WeChat.
In the messages, he talked about defeating “the American aggressor.”
He referred to his companies as tools against “American imperialism.”
But perhaps even more disturbing is the alleged disregard by the CDC for potential evidence.
That evidence includes a freezer labeled “Ebola.”
This negligence or possible cover-up raises critical questions about the integrity and competence of these federal agencies in handling matters of national security.
The committee’s findings corroborate an investigation by the Daily Caller from August 2023.
The report linked Zhu’s bio-lab to Ai De Biopharmaceutical in Qingdao, China.
This connection suggests a broader network of CCP-controlled companies engaging in dubious activities on American soil.
As the full scope of Zhu’s operations and his connections to the Chinese Communist Party unfold, this case may well represent a glaring example of the CCP’s covert operations in the United States.
The Chinese government appears to be blending industrial espionage with potential biological threats.
The implications for national security are profound.
The situation demands an urgent and thorough response from U.S. authorities.
