Peter Doocy Grills Psaki about Special Counsel to Investigate Hunter Biden

Fox News reporter Peter Doocy grilled White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki today over the appointment of a special counsel to investigate Democrat President Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden.

Doocy asked Psaki about plans for a probe of Joe Biden’s son Hunter, his brother James, and possibly the president’s own business dealings.

Psaki said: “Well, first, the president has never had a conversation with the Department of Justice about any investigations into any member of his family.

“He said that during the campaign, and he will continue to abide by that.”

Doocy refused to move on, however, and fired back asking if White House chief of staff Ron Klain saying last week that Biden is “confident his son did not break the law” makes the independence at the DOJ a joke.

Psaki said: “Well, that’s something the president has said, and certainly we would echo.

“But in the same answer to that question, Peter, during an interview this week on ABC, Ron Klain also said the Justice Department is independent, and they will make their own decisions.”

Doocy said:

“And the president has said that he never spoke to his son about his overseas business dealings. Is that still the case?

“Yes,” Psaki said.

As Slay News first reported Tuesday, the criminal investigation against Hunter has started to close in on President Biden.

The New York Post is reporting that a witness before the Hunter Biden grand jury was asked who “The Big Guy” is.

Several former businesses associates of Hunter have confirmed that “The Big Guy” was a nickname used to covertly refer to Joe Biden in business deals.

According to the Post, a  witness who testified before the grand jury was asked to identify “The Big Guy” in Hunter and his business associates’ planned deal with a Chinese energy company.

The Post thinks this is about an email they reported on in October 2020 that showed how when one of Hunter Biden’s business partners, James Gilliar, outlined the proposed payout for those involved in the deal with CEFC China Energy Company he listed: “10 held by H for the big guy?”

The witness was asked who “The Big Guy” is and if it is indeed Joe Biden.

Former Utah US attorney Brett Tolman said:

“I get that there’s spin, but this is not a complex one.

“Conspiracy is a standalone crime in our country, and you’ve certainly got enough to present to the grand jury that there’s a conspiracy among Joe, brother James and Hunter to bring in money, to not declare that money, to not pay taxes on that money.

“And to do so from a country like China, it’s not just red flags — there are potential crimes being committed.”

Washington, DC, lawyer Jim Trusty, said:

“The question is whether Joe Biden’s vice presidency was for sale and whether Joe was complicit in that sort of scheme.”

From The New York Post:

Another former Hunter Biden partner, US Navy veteran Tony Bobulinski, later revealed that “the big guy” was Hunter’s dad, then the Democratic candidate for president, saying, “I have heard Joe Biden say he has never discussed his dealings with Hunter. That is false.”

Hunter Biden disclosed he was under investigation for his “tax affairs” shortly after his dad was elected over former President Donald Trump in the 2020 election, but the probe broadened to include potential money laundering and the violation of lobbying laws, according to recent reports.

In the wake of last week’s report by the Washington Post — which confirmed $4.8 million in payments from CEFC to entities controlled by Hunter Biden and first brother James Biden during 2017 and 2018 — the White House on Sunday attempted to distance the president from his under-scrutiny kin.
