Pro wrestler Kurtis ‘Mad Kurt’ Chapman has died suddenly at just 26 years old, his promoters have confirmed.
Revolution Pro Wrestling announced on Instagram that the British wrestling star had unexpectedly passed away.
The wrestling community is “heartbroken” over the news, the post noted.
“We, at Revolution Pro Wrestling are absolutely heartbroken to report the loss of our dear friend Kurtis Chapman,” RevPro wrote.
“We watched Kurtis grow from a child to a young man who loved professional wrestling and continued to excel in all aspects of his life.
“One of the most gifted technical wrestlers, charismatic characters and magnetic personalities,” the organization continued.
“He will never be forgotten.”
TMZ noted that “Chapman launched his wrestling career in 2014 with RevPro … and instantly became a star thanks to his comedic escapades in the ring.”

Chapman won the RevPro Wrestling British Cruiserweight Title in 2017 and 2018. He also appeared during a summer match to defend his Resurgence Arthouse title.
Along with RevPro, Chapman wrestled with Progress, IPW, and others.

The news of Kurtis Chapman's passing has caught everyone connected to the British scene off guard.

Chapman was a professional wrestler from Portsmouth, England.
The rising star had gone toe-to-toe with the British wrestling scene’s biggest names during his career.
Chapman first started the sport as a teenager in 2014 and was described as “one of the most gifted technical wrestlers”.
He was also recognized for his light-hearted style.
During his career, Chapman competed in RevPro, Progress, IPW, and many other minor promotions.
The late wrestler’s career highlights included becoming a former RevPro British Cruiserweight Champion, in which he held the belt for six months back in 2018.
His final match came back in June 2023, in which he successfully defended his Resurgence Arthouse Championship title.
According to multiple media reports, the cause of Chapman’s death is currently “unknown.”
