Republican 2024 candidate Vivek Ramaswamy tore the GOP establishment and the “corrupt” corporate media to shreds with a fiery statement during the presidential debate.
Ramaswamy started off the third Republican presidential debate by turning the tables on the NBC panel hosting the event.
The businessman shredded the NBC panel and pointed out that “Tucker Carlson, Joe Rogan, [and] Elon Musk” should be moderating the debate instead.
Ramaswamy unloaded when he was asked why he should be the GOP nominee for 2024 rather than President Donald Trump.
Rather than fall into the trap and attack Trump, Ramaswamy slammed the Republican National Committee (RNC) leadership.
He said the Republican Party has been on a losing streak and he put the blame squarely on RNC Chairwoman Ronna Romney McDaniel.
“We’ve become a party of losers!” Ramaswamy declared.
Ramaswamy then took aim at the moderators themselves.
“Think about who’s moderating this debate, this should be Tucker Carlson, Joe Rogan, Elon Musk,” Ramaswamy blasted as he turned the tables on the NBC panel.
“We’d have 10 times the viewership, asking questions the GOP primary voters actually care about and bring in more people to our party.
“We got Kristen Welker here,” he pointed out.
“You think the Democrats would actually hire Greg Gutfeld to host a Democratic debate?”
“The fact of the matter, and Kristen I’m gonna use this time cause this is actually about you and the media and the corrupt media establishment, ask you the Trump-Russia collusion hoax that you pushed on this network for years — was that real?
“Or was that Hillary Clinton made up disinformation?
“Answer the question. Go.”
The crowd erupted with immediate applause as Welker smiled, seemingly acknowledging the criticism.
Ramaswamy continued by accusing the corporate media of colluding with the Democrats to “rig” elections in recent years.
“We need accountability because this media rigged the 2016 election, they rigged the 2020 election with the Hunter Biden laptop story, and they are going to rig this election…”
Moderator Lester Holt then tried to cut Ramaswamy off and shut down his commentary as the crowd continued to cheer.
The RNC has faced criticism from some conservatives for not living up to promises to use presidential debates to boost independent, conservative media.
According to a New York Post report, Welker’s family has previously donated nearly $20,000 to former President Barack Obama and $3,300 to President Joe Biden’s campaign.
The family also reportedly made contributions to Hillary Clinton and the Democratic National Committee.
