26-year-old British reality TV star Harry Savage has been found dead at his home after reportedly dying “unexpectedly.”
British police have opened an investigation into Savage’s shock sudden death.
Savage appeared on the UK’s Channel 4 series “Hunted.”
In the show, contestants try to avoid getting captured in a mock police manhunt.
The young star’s death was “unexpected,” police confirmed.
A man in his 30s was arrested at the scene, the Independent reported.
However, the man was later released by authorities.
The police were called to Savage’s home in Putney, a neighborhood of London, on Friday.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found Savage unresponsive and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A toxicology workup is in progress.
However, no cause of death has yet to be made public.
“Police were called by ambulance colleagues at around 09.15hrs on Friday, 19 July, to a man unresponsive at an address in Putney,” police said.
“The 26-year-old man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
“A post-mortem examination commenced on Saturday, 20 July.
“Officers await the outcome of toxicology tests.”
“Detectives responsible for policing Wandsworth are investigating the incident as an ‘unexpected death.’
“They remain in contact with the man’s family and will be supporting them as inquiries continue to establish the circumstances.”
“A man in his 30s was arrested at the scene.
“He has been bailed pending further inquiries.”
Friends of Savage are honoring his memory, with one writing, “I am lost for words.
“Such a beautiful soul… one of the nicest guys I’ve ever had the privilege to know.”
Savage’s employer, a dating app called “Thursday,” also released a statement on the sad news.
“Harry had played a central role at the heart of our team heading up global partnerships since 2021, and all who knew him would have seen his high energy, positivity, and colorful personality in full flow,” the company said.
Savage was a 20-year-old drama student when he appeared on “Hunted” with his brother Frank in 2019.
Tragically, the brothers were predeceased by both of their parents.
The Essex natives lost their father to a heart attack, and their mother died from dementia only weeks before they went on TV.
“Mum only died in the last four months, but even Dad was only five years ago, so it’s all still quite fresh,” Harry told viewers.
The brothers endured another painful trial this year when Frank went to court with their uncle over the family’s farm.
Their uncle wanted to sell the land to the highest bidder, but Frank won his battle to keep it in the family.
