Ozzy Osbourne Flees Los Angeles over Violent Crime: ‘I Don’t Want to Die in America’

Rock legend Ozzy Osbourne is fleeing Los Angeles and moving back to his home country of England because of soaring violent crime in the California city.

“Everything’s f**king ridiculous there,” Osbourne, 73, said of L.A.

“I’m fed up with people getting killed every day.

“God knows how many people have been shot in school shootings, and there was that mass shooting in Vegas at that concert.

“It’s f**king crazy.

“I don’t want to die in America,” the rocker asserted.

“I don’t want to be buried in f**king Forest Lawn.

“I’m English. I want to be back.

“But, saying that, if my wife said we’ve got to go and live in Timbuktu, I’ll go.

“But, no, it’s just time for me to come home.”

“I knew people would think that. It’s not,” his wife Sharon said regarding questions of whether Ozzie’s illness is driving the move.

“It’s just time,” she continued.

“America has changed so drastically.

“It isn’t the United States of America at all. Nothing’s united about it.

“It’s a very weird place to live right now.”

According to Sky News:

Ozzy – who has been dubbed the Prince of Darkness – was lead vocalist of heavy metal band Black Sabbath, which he formed in 1969 alongside guitarist Tony Iommi, bassist Geezer Butler and drummer Bill Ward.

In the early 2000s, they welcomed MTV cameras into their home, resulting in the hit reality show The Osbournes, which made Ozzy famous with a whole new generation, along with Sharon and their youngest two children, Kelly and Jack.

The show featured some of the family’s major life events, including Sharon’s battle with cancer and the aftermath of Ozzy’s 2003 near-fatal quad-bike accident.

According to Newsmax:

Osbourne and his wife Sharon, who appeared on Donald Trump’s “Celebrity Apprentice,” were married in 1982 and have lived in Beverly Hills for more than 25 years.

Ozzy, born in Birmingham, England, revealed in 2020 he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2003, but Sharon said the disease and his health is not the reason for the move back to the U.K.
