Radical Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) has pushed a series of wild claims while defending herself for sipping cocktails in Florida while her New York constituents battle record-breaking Covid numbers.
AOC went on vacation to enjoy the red state freedom of Florida and left the woes of New York’s virus surge behind her.
As Slay News previously reported, images emerged online of AOC and her boyfriend mask-free in Miami Beach as they escaped the blue state restrictions of her own NYC district.
In her defense, she bizzarely accused her critics of calling her out due to “sexual frustrations” because they are “mad they can’t date” her.
She said:
“If Republicans are mad they can’t date me they can just say that instead of projecting their sexual frustrations onto my boyfriend’s feet.
“Ya creepy weirdos
“It’s starting to get old ignoring the very obvious, strange, and deranged sexual frustrations that underpin the Republican fixation on me, women,& LGBT+ people in general.
“These people clearly need therapy, won’t do it, and use politics as their outlet instead. It’s really weird.”
That line of attack didn’t work the way she wanted so she went after Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
The move backfired in a massive way.
“Hasn’t Gov. DeSantis been inexplicably missing for like 2 weeks?” AOC falsely claimed.
“If he’s around, I would be happy to say hello.
“His social media team seems to have been posting old photos for weeks.
“In the meantime, perhaps I could help with local organizing.
“Folks are quite receptive here.
“I’d also be happy to share some notes from @GovKathyHochul’s work in NY since he seems to be in need of tips!”
Democratic Mayor Jerry Demings of Orange County in Florida also went after DeSantis saying:
“Our residents, all Florida residents should be outraged, and they should ask the question, ‘Now, where’s our state? Where’s our governor? Where is Ron DeSantis now?’
“When was the last time you saw the governor do a press briefing regarding COVID-19?”
Soon after AOC went after the governor, a spokesperson from his office told Fox News that the governor was with his wife getting cancer treatment.
Fox reported:
“Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis accompanied his wife to her cancer treatment while critics were accusing the governor of taking a vacation as coronavirus cases spiked, Fox News has learned.
“A DeSantis spokesperson said the governor accompanied wife Casey to cancer treatment Dec. 29, the day several left-wing critics accused the governor of ‘missing.’
DeSantis press secretary Christina Pushaw also posted photos of DeSantis’s publicly available schedule with the caption, “Have you ever considered that you’re one of the reasons nobody trusts the media?”
