DeSantis Responds to Elon Musk Endorsement, Shreds Democrats: ‘I Welcome Support from African-Americans’

Florida’s Republican Governor Ron DeSantis has responded to a surprise endorsement for the 2024 presidential election from Tesla CEO Elon Musk.

As Slay News first reported earlier today, Musk said on Twitter that he would back DeSantis in 2024 if he decided to run.

DeSantis said:

“What I would say, you know I’m focused on 2022, but with Elon Musk, what I would say is, you know I welcome support from African-Americans.”

Musk said today:I voted for Mayra Flores – first time I ever voted Republican.

“Massive red wave in 2022,” he added.

When asked who he is leaning toward for president in 2024, Musk said:

“DeSantis.”

When asked what he thought about Andrew Yang, Musk said:

“I supported Yang last time, but DeSantis has a better chance of winning.”

DeSantis, unlike most politicians, is not a wealthy man.
