Royal Family Rushes to Queen Elizabeth’s Side as Doctors Place Her under Medical Supervision

The Royal family is rushing to the side of Queen Elizabeth II after her doctors said they “are concerned” for her health.

Officials have put her under medical supervision, Buckingham Palace said in a statement

“After a full day yesterday, Her Majesty has this afternoon accepted doctors’ advice to rest,” the palace said.

“This means that the Privy Council meeting that had been due to take place this evening will be rearranged.

The 96-year-old Queen remains comfortable and at Balmoral Castle, Scotland.

Concerns were raised when the Queen met with Britain’s new Prime Minister Liz Truss on Tuesday.

Media footage showed the Queen looking extremely frail and her hands appeared to be blue.

Truss said: “The whole country will be deeply concerned by the news from Buckingham Palace this lunchtime.

“My thoughts – and the thoughts of people across our United Kingdom – are with Her Majesty The Queen and her family at this time.”

The Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, said: “My prayers, and the prayers of people across the Church of England and the nation, are with Her Majesty The Queen today.

“May God’s presence strengthen and comfort Her Majesty, her family, and those who are caring for her at Balmoral.”

“Immediate family members of the monarch, who is 96, have been informed of the concern for her health,” according to CNN.

Her son Prince Charles, along with Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, and the Queen’s grandson Prince William, have traveled to Balmoral.

From The Daily Mail:

The Queen is under medical supervision after doctors became concerned for her health this morning, Buckingham Palace revealed today, as the Prince of Wales, Camilla, and the Duke of Cambridge to be with the 96-year-old monarch.

Her Majesty’s immediate family members have been informed about the downturn, her spokesman said, leading to her two heirs – Charles and William – going to her bedside amid escalating fears for the monarch’s wellbeing.

Prince Andrew, Princess Anne, and Prince Edward are all expected in Scotland with one of the Royal Family’s helicopters landing in the grounds of Her Majesty’s Scottish home this morning.

A royal spokesman said: ‘Following further evaluation this morning, The Queen’s doctors are concerned for Her Majesty’s health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision. The Queen remains comfortable and at Balmoral.’

A statement about the Queen’s health is exceptionally rare and suggests the situation is very serious.

One insider said: ‘This is deeply worrying. The Palace don’t normally do this’.
