San Antonio Spurs Coach Gregg Popovich Melts Down over ‘Pathetic’ Trump: ‘He’s a Dangerous Man!’

The San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich has suffered yet another anti-Trump meltdown after only light prodding from a reporter.

Popovich went on a tirade over President Donald Trump during a pre-game press conference over the weekend.

He claims Trump is a “bully,” a “racist,” and a “criminal.”

The coach appeared stunned that Americans would vote for Trump despite the unsupported allegations Popvish was making against the 45th president.

During a lengthy rant to sports media journalists, Popovich continuously expressed his confusion over Trump’s support among young voters.

It didn’t take much to set Popovich off, however.

“One question about the U.S. election,” a reporter said, lighting the fuse.

“What do you think about [the election], and do you think it’s important for the future and the democracy of the USA?”

“Probably,” the coach responded.

“Do you want me to speak for an hour?” he added as some laughed.

Unfortunately, however, Popovich wasn’t joking.

The long tirade started with Popovish vaguely criticizing Trump and asking rhetorically why people vote for him.

“We all know one candidate did this, that, and the other,” Popovich began.

“None of it very good, as far as being a criminal and that sort of thing.

“I try to figure out exactly why do people vote for him, what do they exactly think he’s going to do for them.”

As he continued to unravel, Popovich made more unsubstantiated claims about Trump.

Popovich went on to ask whether college students who support Trump know that he “had to pay money because of his rent practices in New York.”

He then alleged that Trump was “racist in that sense.”

“They must think he’s a strong guy, but this is the biggest whiner that ever walked the face of the Earth,” Popovich claimed.

Popovich was referring to the University of Pennsylvania men’s wrestling team appearing on stage with Trump during a rally in the state.

During the event, the team members declared their support for Trump.

As the meltdown intensified, Popovich ranted that Trump is a sore loser.

At the same time, however, the coach tried to claim Trump is a consummate failure, calling him a “fraud” and a “bully.”

“He’s a pathetic individual, a small, small man who has to make everybody around him smaller,” Popovich continued.

“I don’t understand what’s going on in their heads,” he said again of the students who support Trump.

In a seemingly endless barrage of insults, the five-time NBA champion called Trump “pathetic” while once again attacking his business prowess.

“He’s pathetic, he’s small, you wouldn’t have him babysit your kids,” the coach said.

“If you had a small business, you wouldn’t hire him — do you want that man in your business?!

“There’s no way! But you’re going to vote for him for president?!”

The 75-year-old added that “Kamala Harris whipped his ass” in the presidential debate last month and that Trump has been “running” ever since.

He also pointed to Republicans such as Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) as “older white men” who know Trump is “an ass.”

Popovich added that the election of Trump would cause Americans, their kids, and their grandchildren to “lose freedom.”

WATCH:

Popovich has been criticizing Trump for nearly a decade now.

In past remarks, the Indiana native has smeared Trump as “cowardly” and “impotent.”

However, his political statements have been far-reaching and attack staples of American history and legislation.

In February 2018, Popovich said the United States is “a racist country,” but the citizenry hasn’t “figured it out yet.”

A month later, he blasted the Second Amendment and asked if it “serves its purpose the way it was supposed to” when it was first introduced.

The following November, Popovich endorsed failed Democrat candidate Robert “Beto” O’Rourke, saying he “cares about all the people.”

At the same time, he called Republican Ted Cruz’s campaign “scary.”

“To do what Mr. Cruz has done to try to get elected is very scary,” Popovich said, without being specific.

In 2020, Popovich said he was “embarrassed as a white person.”

He made the remark in response to the overdose death of career criminal and drug addict George Floyd.

In 2021, he said that honoring Columbus Day was akin to celebrating Hitler.

“You know, it’s like saying we should be proud of Hitler because we’re German,” he said.

“I mean, it makes no sense. It’s about Columbus.

“It’s not about Italian Americans.

“And so there are a lot of states that have come out and scratched the Columbus Day and made it Indigenous Peoples’ Day.”
