Biased “fact checking” efforts have begun to ramp up in preparation for the 2022 midterm elections.
For some time now, these so-called arbiters of truth have been working to inform voters that Republicans are lying to them constantly while Democrats are truth-telling angels at all times.
The mainstream media is willing to lie about practically anything; it is the supposed fact checkers (who they employ) who allow them to get away with these lies on a regular basis while simultaneously informing the public that it is the other side which lies constantly.
More pedantry and dishonesty from CNN
An intensely pedantic case of fact checking from CNN accuses House Republicans of dishonesty for producing an ad which uses footage from the 2020 riots.
The advertisement was meant to associate President Biden and his party with the violent rioting which followed the George Floyd event last year.
CNN and other leftist media pounced on the fact that the footage was taken from events which occurred during the Trump presidency, claiming that this means that Biden could have had nothing to do with them.
House Republicans never claimed that the footage included in the ad was from 2021. They did not have to do this in order to associate these events with Biden.
Democrats incited and encouraged the 2020 riots and continue to show enthusiastic support for the groups which led and contributed to the violence and chaos.
The National Republican Congressional Committee pointed this out in their response to leftist fact checking attempts, emphasizing that the advertisement was meant to remind voters of what Biden supports.
Selective fact checking
CNN describes this all as being “clearly deceptive.” That’s rich coming from one of the most notorious producers of lies and deception in the world.
This kind of pedantic fact checking allows CNN and other lying media organizations to gather statistics which point out that people they dislike require more fact checks than do the people they support.
Before the election of Glenn Youngkin in Virginia the mainstream media relied on their fact checkers to tell voters in that state that critical race theory did not actually exist.
Virginians clearly did not buy it in that instance but it was an extremely blatant denial of the truth and it came from an organization which is propped up as an authoritative source.
The trial of Kyle Rittenhouse has been a perfect example for anyone who wishes to see just how happy the “fact checkers” are to invent their own alternative facts for sale to the public.
Even those of us who are very aware of how the mainstream media generally operates need to be always conscious of how pervasive and corrosive their dishonesty is in American politics.
