Notorious lawyer Sidney Powell has returned to the spotlight to drop more bombshells.
In a recent interview, the prominent attorney outlined a path to overturning the 2020 election.
With the election audits proposed or underway in several states, many are wondering what would happen if it was concluded that Joe Biden’s “victory” was fraudulent.
Concerns About Fraud Are Widespread
According to a Monmouth University poll, establishing an independent commission to examine voter fraud in the 2020 election is supported by 79 percent of Republicans, 59 percent of Independents, and even 45 percent of Democrats. Overall, 59 percent of people support the commission.
Another poll from Reuters/Ipsos shows that 68 percent of Republicans are concerned that the election was “rigged,” while 16% of Democrats and one-third of independents were similarly concerned.
Path Back to President Trump
In the new interview, Sidney Powell stated that the election audits in Arizona and other states could possibly produce hard evidence of fraud, rendering election results invalid.
Stressing the importance of the ongoing audits and noting that the American people deserve as much transparency and truth as possible surrounding the election, Powell discussed the next steps after the audits, should they find anything illegal occurred.
Powell also insisted that state legislators “have the power to recall the electors for fraud.” According to the attorney, fraud could destroy the legal validity of the 2020 election, leaving state legislatures with no choice but to decertify the 2020 results, taking electoral college votes away from Joe Biden.
“Fraud vitiates or disposes of everything, undoes everything that wrongfully happened as a result of that fraud… They ought to have to give us our President back, because we the people, as my new t-shirt says, know Trump won,” she explained.
Sidney Powell concluded that some officials in certain states may be covering up the fraud in order to try to protect the political system, asserting that this could lead to more dangerous consequences in the long term.
