Six States Begin Enforcing Motorhome Ban on Jan 1 to Fight ‘Climate Change’

From January 1, six Democrat-controlled states will begin enforcing bans on the sale of larger motorhomes as new legislation comes into effect.

California’s anti-emissions Advanced Clean Trucks (ACT) regulation will go into action on New Year’s Day.

Under the ACT, citizens will be banned from purchasing motorhomes weighing over 8,500 pounds.

Several other states have passed similar legislation, including:

  • Oregon
  • Washington
  • Massachusetts
  • New York
  • New Jersey

The new laws aim to persuade people to buy zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs).

According to the Democrat lawmakers behind the push, banning motorhomes will help to fight climate change.”

A California man delivered an epic breakdown of the new rules in a video shared online.

In the video, he explains the Democrat-led policy will also impact motorhome drivers in Republican-led states.

He notes that some states will reportedly be preventing motorhomes from driving through their territories unless they have proof of a “carbon emissions” check posted on the vehicle.

The man in the viral video said:

“They expect you to have an electric 40,000, 30,000-pound motorcoach. Yeah right!”

He also pointed out most RVs are low-mileage vehicles.

Many owners only drive 3k to 5k miles per year on average.

MSM.com published a public to explain “Which RVs Are Affected”

“Unfortunately, most popular motorhomes fall victim to this ban,” the report notes.

The report explains:

  • Class C RVs: These cozy campers, often built on van chassis, will be off-limits.
  • Super C Motorhomes: These powerful rigs, built on truck chassis, are also banned.
  • Class A Motorhomes: The granddaddies of the RV world, including diesel pushers and gas motorhomes, are out.

The outlet also admitted electric motorhome options are limited.

The technology for these vehicles is not yet at the point where full-size RVs can be powered without fuel.

For now, Americans looking to purchase a motorhome can buy them from other states if they’re living in one of the six states banning the sales.

However, it’s possible that similar legislation will be introduced at the national level, especially if Democrats get back into power at any point in the future.
