“Supernatural” actor Mark Sheppard has announced that doctors brought him “back from the dead” four times after he reportedly suffered “six massive heart attacks.”
In a statement over the weekend, Sheppard said he’s lucky to be alive after doctors managed to resuscitate him.
According to the 59-year-old TV star, doctors battled to restart his heart on multiple occasions during the course of his emergency treatment.
Sheppard, who played Crowley the demon on the long-running CW drama, shared a selfie from his hospital bed along with a few details of what had happened.
“You’re not going to believe this!” Sheppard wrote.
“Was on my way to an appointment yesterday when I collapsed in my kitchen.
“Six massive heart attacks later, and being brought back from dead 4 times I apparently had a 100% blockage in my LAD [left anterior descending artery].
“The Widowmaker,” Sheppard continued.
“If not for my wife, the @losangelesfiredepartment at mullholland and the incredible staff @providencecalifornia St Joseph’s — I wouldn’t be writing this.
“My chances of survival were virtually nil.
“I feel great. Humbled once more. Home tomorrow!”
The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) responded to Sheppard’s post thanking them.
“We’re so glad to hear of your outcome and wish you a full and speedy recovery!” LAFD posted.
Actor Misha Collins, who played the angel Castiel alongside Sheppard’s Crowley, ribbed his colleague for overdoing things.
“Mark!” he commented.
“You don’t need to do the most and biggest every time!
“6 heart attacks? 2 or 3 would have been impressive enough.
“You’ve impressed us, okay.
“Now stop with this heal up and get back on the road with us. Love you, pal.”
Actress Felicia Day, who also starred alongside Sheppard on “Supernatural,” said:
“OMG Mark I am so glad you’re recovering this is awful!
“Sending all my love to you and the family.”
“Doctor Who” alum John Barrowman added:
“Mark, WTF … if there is anything you need or I can do just let me know.
“I am just a small journey away.
“Please do all they tell you to make yourself heal and get well.
“You are a lovely soul and a lovely man.
“I am sending you lots of love …”
Sheppard didn’t give any indication about what may have caused his heart attacks, however.
Conflating a bunch of crap into a sentence doesn’t make you sound very smart. Here’s a starter for you. If you have attended public school, you have a vaccine “passport”. It’s almost like you’re looking for attention. Your “rights” are affecting mine.
