Superstar rapper A$AP Rocky was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport on Wednesday over a recent shooting in Hollywood.
Rocky was returning from Barbados on a private jet where he had been on vacation with his pop star girlfriend Rihanna who is pregnant with their first child.
TMZ reported that Rocky, real name Rakim Mayers, was “met by cops at the terminal” and handcuffed in connection to a November 2021 shooting in Hollywood.
He was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon the LAPD said.
Rocky had been under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department for a Nov. 6 shooting near Vista Del Mar and Selma avenues in Hollywood.
The shooting victim told police Mayers, who was walking with two others, shot at him three to four times and one of the bullets grazed his left hand.

“Mayers was arriving on a private plane from Barbados, where he had been on vacation with his girlfriend, the singer Rihanna.
“According to the law enforcement sources, Rihanna was with Mayers when he was arrested, and a search warrant has been executed at Mayers’ residence in Los Angeles.
LAPD said in a statement:
“The Los Angeles Police Department’s Robbery-Homicide Division Detectives have made an arrest in connection with a shooting that occurred in the Hollywood area in November of 2021.
“On November 6, 2021, around 10:15 p.m., an argument between two acquaintances occurred in the area of Selma Avenue and Argyle Avenue, in the Hollywood Area. The argument escalated and resulted in the suspect firing a handgun at the victim.
“The victim sustained a minor injury from the incident and later sought his medical treatment.
“Following the shooting, the suspect and two additional males fled the area on foot.
“Detectives worked diligently to investigate and corroborate the reporting information which helped identify the suspect(s) involved.
“The suspect has been identified as 33-year-old Rakim Mayers, a Los Angeles resident, also known as music artist A$AP Rocky.
“Early this morning, LAPD officers arrested Mayers for Assault with a deadly weapon (firearm) at the Los Angeles International Airport.
“This case will be presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for filing consideration,” the LAPD said.
