Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz has taken Hillary Clinton to the woodshed after she attempted to cash in on her emails scandal with new merchandise.
The twice-failed Democrat presidential nominee shared a promo on Twitter to promote hats with the slogan, “But Her Emails.”
Clinton promoted the merchandise in response to a report about Trump from New York Times journalist Maggie Haberman.
In her new anti-Trump book, Haberman said:
“As I was reporting out this book, I learned that staff in White House residence would periodically find the toilet clogged.
“The engineer would have to come and fix it.
“And what the engineer would find would be wads of clumped up wet, printed paper – meaning it was not toilet paper.
“It was either notes or some other piece of paper that they believe he had thrown down the toilet.”
Trump denied Maggie’s claim but did confirm reporting about taking documents to Florida.
However, he chided the media for making a mountain out of a molehill: “The media’s characterization of my relationship with NARA is Fake News.
“It was exactly the opposite! It was a great honor to work with NARA to help formally preserve the Trump Legacy.
“Another fake story, that I flushed papers and documents down a White House toilet, is categorically untrue and simply made up by a reporter in order to get publicity for a mostly fictitious book.”
However, Hillary apparently believes she has been vindicated because she lost over her email scandal.
Clinton’s attempts to attack Trump with the reports also backfired when The New York Times snubbed her and didn’t print her gloating response to the story.
A former Hillary staffer broke the news on social media:
