Republican Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) has predicted that Democrats will “jettison” President Joe Biden for the critical 2024 election.
According to Cruz, the Democrats will “parachute in” former First Lady Michelle Obama to replace Biden on the 2024 ticket.
The Texas lawmaker made the prediction on his “Verdict with Ted Cruz” podcast.
“Here’s the scenario that I think is perhaps the most likely and most dangerous,” Cruz said
“In August of 2024, the Democrat kingmakers jettison Joe Biden and parachute in Michelle Obama.”
The comments from Cruz come amid mounting speculation that Michelle Obama will run for president next year.
Several Democrats have also called for a different candidate to run as Biden continues to sink in popularity, as does Vice President Kamala Harris.
Democrat voters in the party’s key demographics are also turning against Biden, as Slay News reported.

Cruz explained that by running Michelle Obama as the party’s candidate, the Democrats could “avoid the problems” of having to choose a candidate among political figures.
The names suggested as possible Biden replacements were Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg, Vice President Kamala Harris, and California Gov. Gavin Newsom.
“Barack Obama is already running the Biden administration,” Cruz said.
“I think he is already the puppet master, behind this Biden White House, I don’t think Joe Biden is the decision maker.
“And so, when I see the media turning on Joe Biden right now, I think the odds of Michelle Obama parachuting in in August of 2024 have risen dramatically.”
The senator believes Michelle Obama will unify the Democratic Party by positioning her prospective candidacy as “the Obamas saving the day.”
He said that other Democrat contenders will be expected to “fight it out next time” when they are all “on the same level.”

Cruz is not the first to speculate that Michelle Obama may run for president.
Podcaster Joe Rogan claimed Michelle Obama could beat President Donald Trump in the 2024 election if she decides to run for office.
Roger Stone also recently stated that Michelle Obama will be the Democrat nominee.
Newt Gingrich has also warned the GOP to watch out for the former first lady.
Despite claiming Biden is “doing a great job,” Michelle Obama did not endorse the sitting president when asked in November 2022 if he should run for a second term.
A recent poll among Democrat voters also shows Michelle Obama beating Biden in a hypothetical primary matchup.
The poll found that 48 percent of Democrats would pick Michelle Obama.
Just 36 percent said they would prefer to stick with Biden.
The remaining 16 percent said they were undecided.
