A manhunt is underway in New York City after a teenage illegal alien shot a woman in Times Square before opening fire on police officers.
The gunman shot a woman at a Times Square clothing store.
The shooter was identified as an illegal migrant who remains on the loose, authorities said.
The gunman has been named as 15-year-old Jose Alejandro Rivas Figueroa.
Figueroa is a Venezuelan national who entered the United States illegally by crossing the open Southern Border from Mexico.
He was living in a temporary shelter that is paid for by NYC taxpayers, NYPD Chief of Patrol John Chell revealed.
The shooter shot a 37-year-old Brazilian tourist and was part of a trio of three male illegal aliens.
Police said at a press conference that the criminal gang of teenagers is suspected of shoplifting at JD Sports on West 42nd Street and Broadway at around 7:05 p.m.
A female security guard confronted the group and took the stolen merchandise from the thugs.
At this point, chaos erupted in Manhattan’s gun-free zone.
The shooter and a male accomplice — who was wearing a blue jacket and is a 15-year-old Hispanic male — then fled the store.
They ran toward 47th Avenue, said Chell said.
Two police officers patrolling the area then gave chase, capturing the suspect in the blue jacket.
However, the suspect was immediately released without charge.
The shooting came nearly two weeks after a group of migrants attacked a pair of NYPD officers, also in Times Square.
Several suspects in that case have been indicted but only one is being held in custody.
Authorities believe criminal gangs are flooding across the border with the intention of going on U.S. taxpayer-funded crime sprees in America, as Slay News reported.
The gangs are traveling to the U.S. to commit crimes and funnel ill-gotten gains back to their home countries.
Illegal aliens are stealing Americans’ financial information to make large purchases and fund their lavish lifestyles back home.
A police source told the New York Post that the illegals routinely steal phones and use the Apple Pay and credit card information inside to purchase cars, pools, and other luxuries in their native countries.
When they return home, they will have the fruits of their labor waiting for them, without any fear of consequences from the American justice system.
“They’re buying cars back in Ecuador and Venezuela,” the police source told the Post.
“They’re putting pools in their homes there.
“All this money is going back and forth.
“That’s why the larcenies are going out of control.
“It’s unbelievable what they’re doing.”
