A Texas father did what many dads in his position would do after learning that his daughter had been abused.
On Friday, a Houston dad discovered that his young daughter was sexually abused by her 30-year-old stepfather.
By 8:30 pm that same evening, the father had put three bullets in the stepdad.
Click2Houston reported that the girl wrote her mother a note to tell her about the abuse.
The child confessed to her mom that she had been sexually assaulted by her stepfather.
The Houston Police Department revealed details of the incident.
The father had gone to the mother’s house to ascertain what was happening.
When the dad arrived, “the daughter and the mother then stepped outside.”
They tried to discuss the situation but the stepfather denied the assault.
However, the devastated daughter had already revealed the sexual abuse.
After the stepfather tried to deny the allegations, the outraged father then stormed the house and delivered some justice.
Shots rang out from the property as the mother and her daughter stood outside.
The father shot the stepfather three times.
KHOU noted the father shot the stepfather “once in the stomach and twice in the legs.”
The stepfather is undergoing surgery and is expected to survive.
The father remained on the scene and waited for officers to arrive.
He reportedly cooperated with them thereafter.
The father is cooperating with officers and could face a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
He has not been charged so far, however.
It is unclear is charges will be filed against the stepfather.
The names of those involved have not been revealed to protect the identity of the child victim.
This case is still under investigation.
