Republican Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) has dropped the hammer on Democrat President Joe Biden over America’s inexplicable baby formula shortage.
During an appearence on Fox News’s “The Faulkner Focus,” Sen. Cotton said the Biden admin’s “reprehensible incompetence” is to blame for the crisis.
As Slay News first reported earlier this week, Biden’s HHS chief Xavier Beccera admitted that the administration has known the shortage was looming since “last year.”
“The formula shortage is rank, reprehensible incompetence by the Biden Administration,” Cotton blasted.
“They should have taken these steps months ago.
“The steps they are taking now won’t have a major effect for months to come.
“The FDA should have gotten off its duff long ago and authorized that plant in Michigan to reopen.
“The FDA at root is one of the main reasons why we have this formula shortage.
“This is an artificial shortage here in America created by the Biden Administration’s incompetence.”

How bad is this blunder for Joe Biden and Ron Klain?
They lost the ultimate sycophant MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski who grilled a Biden official today saying:
“I’m not feeling an intensity.
“Do you want to know where there is not a baby formula crisis?
“In Poland, on the border, where they took in almost 4 million people in three months, and there’s enough formula there.
“There’s food. They’ve set up housing.
“They’ve been able to do all of this, by the way, with the help, with the fundamental help of the U.S. Military.
“So my question is, why isn’t there the same mobilization here in America for this crisis?
“I mean, mothers are being told to go to websites or to drive hours or to try formula that might make their babies sick.
“Are we really here?
“What is solving the problem, not in a matter of weeks, but when are we going to see formula in the mouths of babies in America without any stress in terms of getting it?”
From CNN:
President Joe Biden announced on Wednesday that his administration would be taking new actions to attempt to alleviate ongoing infant formula shortages in the United States, including invoking the Defense Production Act.
The President is invoking the act — which allows the government more control over industrial production during emergencies — to direct suppliers of formula ingredients to prioritize delivery to the manufacturers of formula.
Biden also announced the creation of Operation Fly Formula, which directs the Department of Health and Human Services and the Department of Agriculture to utilize the Defense Department’s commercial planes to import formula from abroad.
In a White House video announcing the actions, Biden said he has directed his team “to do everything possible to ensure there’s enough safe baby formula and that it’s quickly reaching families that need it the most. This is one of my top priorities.”
