President Donald Trump has shared details about a private conversation he had with Joe Biden following the Democrats’ historic defeat in the 2024 election.
According to Trump, the former president told him who he blames for the Democrats losing the White House, as The New York Post reported.
Trump said Biden told him that he didn’t blame failed Democrat presidential candidate Kamala Harris for the Democrats’ humiliating defeat.
Instead, Biden pointed fingers at Barack Obama and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
In an interview with The Spectator World, Trump recalled his visit to the White House following the November election.
After his landslide election victory, Trump said he met with an irate Biden.
Biden, who had been pushed out of the Democrat ticket due to concerns over his age and declining abilities, was reportedly fuming over the election results.
Surprisingly, Biden was reportedly keen to vent his frustrations to Trump.
“I asked him, I said, ‘So who do you blame?’ Because he was very angry, you know, he was a very angry guy, actually,” Trump recalled.
“And he said, ‘I blame Barack.’”
Biden’s frustration didn’t stop there, however.
Trump revealed that Biden also pointed to Pelosi as another culprit behind his forced departure from the race and the Democrats’ crushing loss.
However, when Trump asked whether Harris was to blame, Biden dismissed the notion.
“And he said, ‘And I also blame Nancy Pelosi,'” Trump said.
“I said, ‘What about the vice president?’
“He said, ‘No, I don’t blame her,’ which was interesting.
“He didn’t blame [Harris].
“He blamed … he told me, he blamed those two people.”
Obama’s role in the 2024 election chaos is no surprise.
Initially, the 44th president had urged Democrat leaders to stick with Biden.
This was after Biden’s disastrous debate performance against Trump on June 27.
But by mid-July, as the backlash over Biden’s cognitive struggles intensified, Obama reportedly turned against his former vice president.
He met with Pelosi to strategize, and soon after, Biden’s fate was sealed.
On July 21, Biden bowed out of the race and endorsed Harris.
Harris was then crowned to lead the Democrats’ campaign without a single vote.
Ultimately, it wasn’t enough, and Trump triumphed.
Biden has previously admitted that Pelosi and other party elites pressured him to step aside, but he has been notably silent about Obama’s involvement.
Now, thanks to Trump, it’s clear Biden holds his former boss responsible.
This revelation adds another layer to the internal Democrat turmoil that led to their 2024 defeat.
While Biden may not openly criticize Obama, behind closed doors, it’s a different story.
With Trump back in the White House, the fallout from the Democrats’ election disaster is only beginning.
