Trump Says Failed Assassination Attempt Affirmed His Faith in God: ‘Now, I’m More of a Believer’

President Donald Trump has revealed that narrowly avoiding death during last month’s failed assassination attempt has further affirmed his faith in God.

Trump discussed the deadly Pennsylvania rally shooting during his Internet-melting interview with Elon Musk on X Monday evening.

Musk and Trump sat down for a conversation during a live-streamed X Space that millions of people around the world listened to.

During the conversation, Trump reflected on the shooting in Butler one month on.

Trump said the moment he felt something strike his ear, he knew it was a bullet.

He revealed that was one of the reasons that he dropped to the ground so quickly.

Trump said that the fact that he turned his head at the exact moment when the would-be assassin took the shot must have been “a miracle.”

He noted that the incident should make those who don’t believe in God reconsider their beliefs.

Had Trump not turned his head to look at the chart behind him in that second, the shot would have been fatal and we would be living in a very different world today.

“I’m a believer,” Trump said.

“Now, I’m more of a believer.”

Later in the conversation with Musk, Trump said that the fact that he turned his head at the right moment was “an act of God.”

The conversation between Musk and Trump was delayed by about half an hour.

The event crashed following a massive distributed denial-of-service (DDOS) attack on X’s servers.

The attack appeared to be an attempt to sabotage the highly anticipated interview.

“There appears to be a massive DDOS attack on 𝕏,” Musk posted on the site.

“Working on shutting it down.

“Worst case, we will proceed with a smaller number of live listeners and post the conversation later.”

Musk said that earlier in the day his team “tested the system with 8 million concurrent listeners.”

The X boss later revealed that the interview has now garnered around one billion views globally.

As the interview was being broadcast, Democrat Presidential nominee Kamala Harris lashed out at Trump and Musk.

The Harris campaign issued a statement blasting Musk as “a lackey for Team MAGA.”

The email also claimed Musk “ruined” the old Twitter and insisted the Tesla CEO was allowing “disinformation” and “hateful” free speech to spread across the platform.

In a post on X, Trump’s campaign fired back.

“President Trump has been speaking for over an hour to over a million people about his winning agenda for the American people,” the Trump campaign said, along with a screenshot of the fundraising email.

“Kamala is BIG MAD about this as she refuses to speak to the media, do an interview, or even explain what platform she is even running on,” the post added.

“So pathetic.”

Last Wednesday, after Trump first revealed he would be speaking with Musk, the X owner suggested that he would be “open” to having a similar discussion with Harris.

The Harris campaign refused to respond, however.
