President Donald Trump fired back at Nikky Haley after his new challenger for the 2024 GOP primary took a few swipes at her former boss.
Haley announced she will take on Trump for the Republican presidential nomination and fired a few veiled shots in his direction.
“We are more than ready for a new generation to lead us into the future,” Haley, said in her campaign announcement.
“In the America I see, the permanent politician will finally retire.
“We’ll have term limits for Congress. And mandatory mental competency tests for politicians over 75 years old.”
Enter Trump who put out a statement exposing “the real Nikki Haley.”
“Hillary Clinton Is an Inspiration to Nikki Haley,” Trump’s statement said.
“In a 2012 interview with the New York Times, Nikki Haley said, ‘The reason I actually ran for office is because of Hillary Clinton.’ (New York Times, 4/4/12)
“Haley Supported Paul Ryan’s Plan for Entitlement Reform, Threatening Medicare and Social Security.
