President Donald Trump has mocked Democrat Rep. Al Green (D-TX) after the congressman was removed from Congress over an outburst during Tuesday’s address before a joint session.
The House voted Thursday to formally reprimand Green over the meltdown.
As Slay News reported, Green was removed for heckling President Trump during his speech to a joint session of Congress.
10 Democrats sided with Republicans on the final vote to censure Green.
Green had heaped fresh embarrassment on a weak and divided Democratic Party with his outburst during Tuesday night’s address.
Lawmakers had previously voted to advance the censure motion 211-209, setting the stage for Green’s dramatic rebuke.
Within moments of Trump taking the podium Tuesday, Green stood up and began shouting at the president.
Trump was in the middle of touting his historic electoral mandate when Green started yelling.
77-year-old Green, waving his cane in anger, insisted that Trump did not have a mandate to cut Medicaid.
Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) then ordered the House Sergeant at Arms to escort Green out of the chamber.
Green was removed after he ignored repeated warnings to behave himself.

“He chose to deliberately violate House rules in a manner that we think is probably unprecedented in history — interrupting a message of a president of the United States, who is an honored guest,” Johnson said ahead of the censure vote.
Green is an infamous liberal rabblerouser.
He has repeatedly attempted to impeach Trump, filing articles of impeachment as recently as last month.
However, Green was widely mocked over the move when he declared that Trump should be impeached for “dastardly deeds.”
Green’s latest stunt comes at a time when the Democratic Party is struggling to oppose a second-term Trump and his bold agenda of reform.
Democrats’ feeble display of defiance Tuesday night was widely criticized, including by frustrated Democrats who said the grandstanding hurt the party’s image.
The House voted 224-198 to formally censure Greene, prompting more political theater from members of the Democrat opposition.
Democrats even began singing the civil rights anthem “We Shall Overcome” in protest.
Ahead of the censure vote, Green said he had no regrets about his conduct.
“I would do it again,” he said.
“I am not angry with the speaker.
“I am not angry with the officers,” Green told ABC News.
“I am not upset with the members who are going to bring the motions or resolutions to sanction.
“I will suffer the consequences.”
Meanwhile, Trump dismissed Green as a “low IQ individual” in an interview with Fox News Digital.
The president described Green as a liability to the Democrats.
“Nobody takes him seriously,” Trump said..
“He is an embarrassment to Congress but a much bigger embarrassment to the Democrats.”
